This park is conveniently located a few miles off of the I-40. The best directions for access are included on the camp website. The park runs from just off a levee down to the shores of the Mississippi River with most of the large pull through sites located within feet of the river bank. The sites are divided with utility access for either fifth wheels or motor homes which allowed us to have a beautiful view out of our windows with convenient access to all utilities. We had 36 OTA television stations and both Verizon and Sprint had good access. While there are no fire pits at each site there are several stone rock in ground fire pits placed along the bank of the river next to benches. There are multiple walking trails and large grass fields for dog walking. There is approximately a 15-foot grass area between each unit but no trees or other privacy measures. At the rear of the park were some sites that were shaded and would probably still have a small view of the river. We found this site very convenient for touring the Memphis area and would stay here again. The view was beautiful and the park was quiet and well maintained. While there was no construction while we were here they are in the primary stages of putting in another section of sites. I would reccomend a reservation as the park was almost full every night even at this time of year. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What can I say? Beautiful views of the Mississippi. Sites are positioned just perfectly so that there are views from our back and side windows Driving in to the park feels like right out of a Mark Twain book. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Such a nice park!! Open sites not too close together. Outstanding views of the river from just about everywhere. Even if you are not right along the river, you can walk there and sit on one of the many benches. Internet spotty. Voltage was a bit high, kept tripping our surge protector. Wish we spent more than one night. Absolutely on the "visit again" list. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Sites were gravel, grit, mud, and grass and due to a recent rain, had standing water in places including in front of the electric box. The campground employee we followed to the site opened the sewer drain to allow the ground water to empty into the sewer. Even the gravel interior roads had deep puddles that prevented us from taking our post arrival walk around. Overnight we heard several toots coming from boats on the river. WiFi was very slow. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night to visit Memphis. It was a great site with very accommodating management. We were on our way through but wanted to see Graceland and did not think we would have time. I inquired about late checkout but they were booked. They offered to let us stay a couple hours beyond checkout but if it were going to be any longer we could drop our camper in a lot near the office. Fortunately, we made it to Graceland and back in time to get checked out without any trouble. It is a little ways from the interstate through an industrial area but it was a beautiful campground right on the banks of the Mississippi and was very quiet. After a restful night we woke to a beautiful sunrise over Memphis TN across the Mississippi River. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the Bass Pro Shops and definitely tour Graceland. It only takes a couple of hours if you get there early enough and we did the "deluxe" tour of the his planes, automobiles, and archives. We did not do the VIP due to time constraints but believe it would be worth it.

Great location next to the Mississippi river. Our site was level and spacious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Park is clean and well maintained. Lots of places to walk. Pet friendly. It felt peaceful and safe here. I would recommend this RV Park and plan to come back. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Travel Trailer.

We love this campground and stay here whenever in the area. Our pull thru site was long, level, spacious and right on the river. We love the quiet and watching the barges and riverboats going up and down the river. Plenty of walking trails. The park was full every night but they are adding 42 more sites. Great place to stay and visit all the Memphis sights...and it's very safe! Free wi-fi but no cable. Could pick up several station with antenna and satellite worked great. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our first site was right on the Mississippi River so we could watch the river traffic. Nice size concrete pad with plenty of space for parking. Somewhat shady spot with table. Free spotless laundry room. Excellent digital TV. Not much Wi-Fi. We spent the second night one row back from the river due to large group reservation in our first spot. Rate was reduced to $39.00. Missed the river but still enjoyed this great park. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park right on the Mississippi River. Gravel park roads. Some concrete pads, some gravel, but all appeared to be fairly level. There was no shade except at the front of the park. Cable was not available but Wi-Fi worked well. There are 2 laundry rooms and laundry is free. I wouldn't consider this a destination campground, but a good choice for overnight stays. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy to find and easy access. The lots are flat and nearly all pull-through. The owners escort you to your site, making parking easy. The view of the Mississippi was wonderful! The are no places very close by for groceries or eating, but if you're game for a 15 minute drive, you're set. We tried Williams BBQ ( fairly close by and recommended in other reviews) but were not impressed, sorry. The RV park is quiet, well kept and not noisy at all. I would return anytime I was in this area. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Travel Trailer.

This very large campground is just a few minutes from Memphis TN, but feels a world away. It is located outside the levee, on the banks of the Mississippi River. Many of the campsites overlook the river. We were back a ways, and overlooked two lovely ponds. The campground was full with caravans all 3 nights we were there. Before we arrived, we called and left many messages before they returned our call. They fit us into perhaps the only open spot in the park. There are signs indicating where flood waters rose during floods in the past 10 years or so. The office is on wheels - I guess so they can evacuate it if necessary - and the laundry is up a very long flight of stairs. Their website says that they have lots of notice before any flooding might occur. Reviews of other Memphis area campgrounds spoke of security and safety. This campground is out in the country, and feels very safe. Amazingly, it is just a 15 minute ride into downtown Memphis. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

This park has power problems and they are putting people's RVs at risk for damage. We experienced high voltage of 132 and low voltage of 90 during our 3 days at the park. Luckily, we own a surge protector. The problems were not fixed during our stay. Maintenance was inept and the owner was unresponsive. On the plus side, the park has nice, sunny, open sites with gorgeous views of the Mississippi. The sunrise each morning was amazing. The park has nice walking trails and free laundry. Overall, the park was really nice, but if you can't provide safe power to your customers, you've pretty much failed in your number one responsibility. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park. We were in a new area, so it was pretty blank, but was almost right on the river. There are nice benches along the river and lots of grass. Our site was huge as we were on a corner. There is a nice nature trail that I was able to walk the dog in. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Mexican restaurant called Pancho's that you pass on the way in. It is NOT very good. The service was good, but the food was pretty bad. There is a really nice market not too far from the park. The office has a map for it.
