We stayed here for two nights on a short notice change of plans. The staff was great in getting us a spot that worked for our MH. We had a back-in site along the edge that was great. Nice brick patio, fire pit, grill. Hook-ups were good and easy and water pressure was good. Nice big room parking for checking and unhooking our toad. Were escorted by golf cart to our spot and helped backing us in. Very nice work camper. All the spots are on concrete pads, but all the interior roads are gravel. Did not have a dust problem the days we stayed. Good satellite and Verizon. Park has tons of amenities, almost an amusement park. We did not use any of them except the bathrooms, which were clean and modern. Individual showers. Convenient for visits to Fort Collins. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

A good park perfect for a family with kids needing a lot of activity- pickleball, volleyball, small pedal scooters, walking trails, etc and some sites with hot tubs if you want to splurge. Located at the far NW side of Ft Collins and not too far from Estes Park and RMNP. It was the "monsoon" season while we were there so the park was fairly wet but the interior roads were all fine. The park was fairly full with lots of kids so be aware of that if you're just looking for piece and quiet. The rate is a little high unless you're using all the games and activities (in which case it's a bargain) but overall one of the better KOA parks we've stayed at. Note: WIFI is sporadic and cable fairly minimal (about 20 basic channels) We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is definitely a kid themed KOA. It offers a great playground, water activities, peddle cars, and a fishing pond. Not exactly my thing so it was way over priced for what I was wanting which was a place to stay while visiting friends and family. It is big rig friendly with roads that were easy to maneuver. My pad was concrete that was level front to back and side to side. The water and electric are in the center of the pad; however, the sewer is at the very back of the pad and elevated about 4" off the ground. Water pressure was great at 40 to 45 psi and no electric issues. Sewer was slow to drain due to elevation. Cable was strong with good range of channels. Wifi was weak to non-existent. The concrete pads are narrow and you step off in mud or dirt. They say no mats on the grass, so mine wasn't on the grass but the mud at the end of my steps. They do have sprinklers go off over night to water the grass. There was very nice grass around the picnic table and grill. The sites are arranged to where your picnic table is not next to your neighbors sewer hose. They have a very nice fenced dog walk. The staff is extremely friendly. They led us to our site and guided us in for the best placement. They also pick up your garbage in the morning. The park is extremely clean and well maintained. Weakness include the awkward sewer connection placement, over priced for what you get compared to other KOAs, narrow concrete pads, and the sprinklers make any mud on your site that much more muddy. Great for a family with kids, overpriced for those of us just visiting family. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an amusement park for children and its title should indicate it. There are a few activities/rides for adults too. If you don't have children, it probably is best not to camp here for longer than a couple of days...not much to do at the camp or in the Fort Collins area. There was a power problem when we were there. We didn't have much luck with the WiFi either. The town is very crowded with a lot of traffic. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly with level sites. Laundry and showers were good. Wifi was slow and unavailable most of the time. Putt putt golf, shuffleboard, and paddle boats were free. Dog park and 3/4 mile walk around lake was great. No problem with our satellite. Campground was flat making good bike riding. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart, shopping, and restaurants was 10 minutes. Ft Collins is a good place to visit. A person in the office told us a good place to ride motorcycle along river in Roosevelt National Forest and was only 18 miles away. Rocky Mountains was an hour away but easy drive. Both the place had beautiful scenery and well worth the visit.

The park had quite a few trees throughout. The roads up to the main office are paved, but most of the park has dirt roads, which were easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. Sites were somewhat spacious, with about 15 feet between motorhomes. Each site had quite a bit of grass (important if you have dogs) BUT they don't allow dog fences on the grass, a fact that I asked about when making my reservation, and was told it wouldn't be a problem, so I put up my fence upon arrival, and within a couple of hours I was told I had to take it down. They also had a two dog limit, which again I wasn't apprised of when I made my reservation, even though I asked questions indicating I had dogs. Power connection was 50/30/20 and the power pole & sockets were in good condition. The cable TV signal was good and stable. Water & sewer connections were fine, as was the water pressure. The RV parking pad was concrete and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was good, but very slow to the point of being useless as far as I was concerned. We don't use restrooms, showers or pools, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was no dog park for our 4 footed children (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). They did have a sports field, boat dock with rentals, mini-golf and other games, and inflatable toys, all of which we don't need or want. The price was high at $54 after the KOA membership 10% off. It was very quiet as there were no major roads nearby to create road noise. We would rate this park a 7.3 out of 10. We stayed in a motorhome and would NOT stay here again because of the dog fence prohibition, and the 2 dog limit. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a good park to plant yourself in Fort Collins, it is about 10 minutes from Old Town and various breweries incuding New Belgium. The park has concrete pads but gravel dirt roads, great activists for the kids and a lake to walk or paddle boat around. The only issue for us is how bad the internet is, if you need a decent connection this is not the place for you. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here before. They say they are currently in a drought but part of the problem is their sprinkler system. The grass has suffered terribly. As mentioned in previous reviews there are a lot of things for kids to do. There is a lake to walk around (dogs too). There is an adequate dog park. The park has a security guard & there is an escort to your site. They do have cable & Wi Fi. Cable provided a good picture. Didn't use WiFi. Hunt's Brother's Pizza but only Thurs- Sun. Garbage pickup at your site. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 8 nights so we could explore the surrounding country side. The service was excellent, including an escort to our site. The site was level with a concrete pad and utilities were good. The dirt roads created a lot of dust and the "grassy" area outside our RV was mostly weeds and dirt, though they do water nightly. They have amazing, well-maintained amenities for the kids, so this would be a great location for families. They need to invest in new picnic tables. Ours was in pretty bad shape. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a gated CG. We had a concrete pad w/ full hook ups. The entry roads are paved but interior streets are 100% dusty. Lots of free amenities mostly for the kids. MOST of the staff members were very friendly. One rude office staff member was very negative when I inquired about having a branch cut that was touching the top of our coach. A member of the maintenance team trimmed the branches for me. The water pressure was good but the wifi was weak and the cable could use so updating. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed in Fort Collins for a week visiting with friends. The CG is a bit off the beaten path and one must drive through a section of downtown Fort Collins to get to it. The roads are adequate however so the trek is not a problem. The entry to the campground is a bit bleak as it is adjacent to some construction companies and there is old equipment around. Once within the CG however, it is very nice, peaceful, and quiet. We drive a 45ft MH and were able to easily navigate the park. We took the car off at the entry as we were staying for awhile. Our site had a concrete pad and was just long enough for the MH and car. Utilities worked well, sewer connection to the back of the pad and required an extension in order to reach. Wifi slow so I used my hotspot which was good enough. Campground has tons of activities for families and there were lots of kids over the weekend, having a grand time. Did not use the rest room or laundry facilities so cannot comment on that. Nice park and we would return here if we were in the area We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

If you have kids, you'd want to come here. It is a kid haven, with playgrounds, bouncy houses, a huge slide and lake activities. We don't have kids, and for us it was suitable but not amazing as some have claimed this place to be. We had a lot of problems getting satellite and although the park was half-full, they couldn't find us another spot because they claimed a party was coming through on the weekend for one night. As you cannot reserve spots, my solution was "fine, give one of them this spot" (right next to the party, so they'd still be next to each other) and we'd take one of the other spots. We were told "no". I asked how that was possible since you technically cannot reserve spots...and never got an answer. The roads are paved and the grass is plentiful - but it is all crabgrass and full of weeds (not good for doggie paws). It was quiet at night, even on the weekend where the park fills up, and it was fine. However, we wouldn't go out of our way to go to this place again. "Fine" is how we'd describe it. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

Maiden trip new to us motorhome. Few issues easily resolved, fairly close to stores. Trail around lake is beautiful for walking dog and getting exercise. Dog park could be bigger, did not use for our dogs this time. Staff very friendly. Some industrial noise nearby but not at night. Good place for a get away, near city but not so near. Good size site 165. Wifi slow and cable fuzzy, needs some repair. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a couple weeks. Without the KOA Value Rewards card, it would have been $52.00 per night, which would be a high price for what you get. We did enjoy the tons of grass throughout the park. We didn't like the $10 per day charge to any visitor, the shortness of the staff, and the number of full-timers. This park feels more like a community of full-timers and not a RV park. Also, the Wi-Fi was useless but we did get AT&T 4G data coverage so we used that. Fort Collins, and Northern Colorado, don't have a lot of parks to choose from so this one works. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Be sure to walk the 3/4 mile trail around the lake. Our dog loved that trail. Also, go walk the Poudre Valley trail, which is about 1/2 mile south of the park. We rode our bikes to Old Town Fort Collins and had dinner. Then, we rode back.

Follow the CG's directions to get here! We didn't. We arrived, but wish we had remembered the CG website caution. There is a long drive for entry where you pass an asphalt/road biz. If it was operating, it may have changed our whole view of the park, which was peaceful. We arrived late and staff was still onsite to assist with check-in. Nice touch. They did not provide an escort to the site as a result. This was not an issue, but if not off season, this place would be hopping. It's a large CG with a lot to offer, and I feel a lot of children would be present. For a KOA, the sites had good room between them w/ a picnic table and concrete pull thru pads. The utility pole was in good working order w/a light on top. Sewer placement was good. Site was level and good length. It was easy to navigate in the CG. There are a lot of trees and a lake. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Again, follow the website directions on how to gain access. Don't follow your GPS. There's a Thai restaurant on Yelp with top marks close to the CG. It was pretty tasty, and they take Thai hot seasoning seriously.
