Once you get into CERAland, everything is very nice. More on that in a moment. A heads up: the entrance is on a county road that literally takes you through a corn field. Though the road is paved, it is only about 1-1/2 lanes wide, meaning that if you were to meet oncoming traffic, things could get very interesting. Fortunately, the road is not very busy so that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Now for the park itself. Pros: The sites are all back-ins, but they are very wide. Most of the sites are very shady. The campground feels very peaceful, about like many state parks we have visited. Unlike many state parks, there are a lot of activities you can participate in. Most of these cost an extra fee but there is lots to do here if just sitting in the woods is not enough for you. There was plenty of room on our site to park the car next to the motorhome without feeling cramped.

Cons: Most sites are back to back, and that means that the hookups tend to be all the way in the rear of the site. I needed an extra section of sewer hose to make the connection. As some others have noted, many of the employees seem to be teens working part time. I am glad to see teens working, but they don't always know how to be as helpful as they might be.

There is a $2.00 per person entry fee into the gate the first time you come in. Once you get checked in, your car pass will get you in and out of the gate without having to pay that $2.00 per person fee again. They don't guarantee wifi in the campground, only at certain hot spots (which they don't identify). I was able to connect at times via wifi, but most of the time I just relied on my cell phone; I had good coverage with Verizon here. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Columbus is about 10 minutes away. The park has a golf driving range, trap and skeet, frisbee golf, miniature golf, pool, a lake with paddle boats, archery, rifle range, and plenty of room to walk or ride a bike. Several playgrounds for kids. Most of these activities charge an extra fee, but it is fairly reasonable.

Read the article in the FMCA magazine and came here for a tour of the Cummins plant. The article said to call to get a tour reservation but we never received a call back. Upon arrival, we were charged $2 per person to enter the facility! The money taker gave no directions to the office. A very nice gentleman on a golf cart asked us if we were lost and drove the wife to the office. (we had tried calling the office twice but no one answered) Once we found our spot, we went back to find out about the tours and were told that the FMCA magazine got the article wrong because they didn't arrange tours for less than 20 people. Oh well. The facility does look well maintained until you get to the campground. Sites are gravel with weeds growing in them and most of them are un level. It is heavily treed so satellite service won't happen. Power was good, water pressure good. For the price we paid, there were no sewer hookups. Roads are pretty narrow with speed bumps so be careful. Even going the posted 4mph speed limit the bumps shook the coach. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

First off if your rig is under 40 feet and you want shade and things for children to do then this is a great park. If you want satellite, want a space with out smoldering fires nearby, if you want the office staff to know what a big rig means, and some sun: then this is not the park for you.

The staff are students from a local college's hospitality program and unfortunately have no idea what the sites are like or what an RV is like. The first site they sent me to was unusable because of a tree limb in the middle of the site. The next site had no satellite service do to trees. I finally did find one that was long enough, no trees hanging down, and had full hook ups. Yes, there is a section in an open field but don't get off the road as that area is low and the ground is very soft and you may get stuck and I believe they are not full hook ups.

The number of smoldering fires with no one around is just amazing and if you have breathing issues you will not be happy. Some sites are full hook ups and some are not. We were here for a rally and I had come in early for the 4th. Just not what I look for in a campground so I would not stay here again. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Columbus, IN is a great little city. Take the Cummin's tours and architectural tours. They also have concerts during the summer downtown. We saw a great Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band for free.

The rate is for a so-called "premium" site. This is a destination park, and in our view, not the best choice for an overnight stay. No pull-through sites. During the summer vacation period, the park amenities (small water park, golf, shooting ranges, etc) bring longer term stays along with many children. In the evenings, the RV park fills with wood smoke from all the campfires. While the park amenities appear to be very well maintained, the campground seems to be a bit of an "orphan" in that the grass is not mowed regularly, many campers have outside refrigerators and other belongings scattered around their sites. Many children roaming throughout the park without parental supervision. In our 3 night stay no site of any campground security, and many sites occupied with 4 or more vehicles in spite of campground rules stating maximum of 2 vehicles per site. 10PM quiet hours ignored by many campers and apparently the park as well. Sites generally very unlevel, roads and sites gravel, heavily forested so only a few sites along the south side of the campground would allow for satellite access, no park cable, and limited over the air TV. Verizon and AT&T workable. If passing through the area again, for us, we would likely try to locate a park more suited to over-nighters than CERALAND. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

WiFi nonexistent. For the high price for no sewer hookup makes this a place needing stronger Mgt.

DirecTV not available unless you move to the field-like campground.

Nice kids park, no effort to remedy WiFi issue. Asked them to follow up and not confident this will happen. 50 amp good, cell phone reception good, level gravel sites. Location good with Columbus within 10 minutes. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Spent Mother's Day weekend here, as the park is close to "Mom", so she and Dad could come visit ;-) . Having grown up in this area, we remember Ceraland as a sort of 'crown jewel' of recreation areas, as it was formerly funded by, and for use by, Cummins employees and their families. It is now open to the public, and they sell annual memberships to use the pool, playgrounds, go-kart track, shelter houses, fitness center, etc.

The campground is about at the level of state park standards in Indiana these days; in the fact that some sites need some gravel (and a couple could use some fill dirt, and bath houses are older but kept pretty clean. All in all, it's a pretty fair value for a full hookup site. There are a few seasonals, but they're pretty nice and well-kept. Most of the sites will require a bit of leveling, but not too bad.

There is a lake, and there are lake-front sites available, but not if you have dogs. The "premium" lake-front sites are in a designated 'no pets' area. Also, the signs and literature state there's no alcohol allowed in the park, which probably cuts down on the loud, intoxicated parties, and that's OK. We just kept ours inside the RV ;-). This weekend was pretty quiet, and the park was less than half full.

There is a minimal camp store on the property, and they sell essentials, including firewood, but the city of Columbus is 10 minutes away for more options. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed there the 3rd week in July, the in our overall opinion it was a great place to camp, with little problems. With the site we were assigned we had a MAJOR Flood problem when it rained, (which was often). We asked to be moved 2 sites up but told they were reserved, it was only when we threatened to leave after day 2, of a 9 day, we were then moved to one of the "reserved" sites. Our original site 198, and site 199 have MAJOR flooding problems when it rains. after talking to several people found that management is aware, of the problem and continues to book those sites. We asked for straw to help with the mud and we were given 2 bales which helped after our moving to another site. If they would purchase some gravel and build up those affected sites they would be great. It seemed that all but two employees that we delt with were over the age of 30 the rest were teenagers that really didn't care about a customers service. But other than the flooding problem, our overall camping was great. We will return next year and now have a better idea of what site we want. The Campground overall is great with lots of things to do Miniature golf, Driving range, a Pool, Gym area, Rifle range etc. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The roads in are paved. The sites are gravel and not level at all. They slope every which way. Pretty park for a smaller rig. Quiet. Nice lake. Stayed one night. Would not recommend for big rigs. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

You have to be a member of this park or a member of a camping club to park here. No reservations are accepted - first come first served. We camped here over a long 4th of July weekend. The place was packed. The place for big rigs has no sewer hookup - so we had to go purchase a portable hauler. The overflow/big rig lot is quite tight - our neighbors campfire was nearly under our living room slide - hence smoke smell from the fire came right in. Fireworks are outlawed - yet every night there was a lot of fireworks & the security guard did nothing. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a semi-private park for members and guests who are members of Good Sam, FMCA or own a truck or RV with a Cummins diesel. We camped there as part of the Turbo Diesel Register rally for Cummins engines. This park is very clean and will maintained park with enough room between the camp sites to enjoy them. There is a lot of area to hike around and enjoy the setting of this campground. My only complaint was the shooting range was too close to the camping area. Sometimes in the morning the shooting range was being used by members practicing skeet shooting and the shotgun blast would wake us up. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cereland was formerly a private park that is now open to the public. The campground is very well maintained and is adjacent to the Softball Park and Fitness Center. The park is south/southeast of Columbus in a wooded setting. The sites are wide and easily accessible. While they do not offer WI-FI, we found both 3G (Verizon) and 3G & 4G (AT&T) service was good in the park. The park is beautiful in the fall complimenting the south Indiana countryside. They do not accept reservations, everything is first come – first serve, but we had no problem getting a site in October. Limited laundry facility (2 Washers and 4 Dryers) but was adequate for a quick uniform wash/dry. We couldn’t find a place in the park to purchase wood, but was referred to Lowe's about 9 minutes away which we picked up on a trip into Columbus. We highly recommend this park. One note, the water & electric box is at the back of the site, so an extension may be necessary. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park about 5 miles from town. No cable or Wi-Fi and very limited cell service. This is too bad as this is a great park to stay in. Full hookups available on gravel lots with plenty of shade or open for satellite. People are very friendly in the office and go out of their way to accommodate. Large spacious sites. Most are fairly level, some can be a challenge. Many sites now have full hook-ups, incl sewer. More amenities than can be listed. Policies allow non-members to stay and use facilities. Not listed in campground directories, so you need the phone number. A great spot for a night or a week.
