If you want to camp in Lincoln, you probably need to pay the piper with the 17% tax. Fortunately winter rates were in effect which reduced the cost by $12 per night. Still many of the sites were occupied by folks who leave their coaches for home football games. On the positive side, the park is attractive with trees, slopes and sweeping roads. The site we were in had lightening fast wifi. All other utilities including cable tv worked good. Showers were hot and we had a close site. The dog park is enormous. The assigned pull-thru was of adequate length. The gravel pad was mostly level. The website stated $46 for a premium. The actual charge was $46.99. There was a $4.70 Good Sam discount. Taxes were $7. Some road noise but not an issue. Picnic table and fire pit. Trees are nice for shade in the summer but slide covers will catch a lot of leaves now. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Big rig friendly with level sites. Very convenient to I80. Wifi, laundry, cable, and bathrooms were good. Big dog park was nice but needed to be cleaned more often. Easy to walk in campground but too hilly to ride bicycle. We camped at Camp A Way in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Less than 5 miles to capital, downtown, Walmart, shopping, and restaurants. Also less than 5 miles the Museum of American Speed, International Quilt Museum, and Sunken Gardens was worth a visit.

The campground is below a freeway and while I did not notice the noise in the evening the truck traffic in the morning woke me up about 5:30 am. All of the services worked well but when you sign on to the wifi you have two hours and then get disconnected and you have to reconnect. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Enjoyed our stay in Lincoln, only used the dog park and it is a large one compared to most parks. WIFI is very slow and cable only has a few stations. The park is well kept and you are escorted to your spot. The amenities look nice but we did not use them. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Runza Hut is a must, an ethnic sandwich - similar to pastie, frozen ones are available for travel, they make a great meal for the road. Valentino's is a good place to grab a good pizza and a taste of Lincoln's past.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight stays in late May and late June 2017. $50 in May, $60 in June, plus tax. This is an attractive park with some nice facilities. There's a large dog park and lots of stuff for kids. Our site was level and long enough for truck and trailer, although we didn't unhitch. Site is a normal width with gravel base. This is an attractive park, but close enough to the highways to be a bit noisy. But we had the A/C running and didn't hear the highway noise. Trees blocked our rooftop satellite dish so we used the park cable which is pretty good. Utilities were well placed. We were able to get our 22' truck and 39' trailer around the interior roads, but care is required. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Good stop for overnight if you don't mind paying ridiculously high price! Right on I80 so easy on and off but traffic noise is noticeable. Sites are wide and long enough not to have to unhitch. Had I been thinking I would have requested a back in 30 amp site with water and electric only which might have been less expensive. We won't stay here again as there are other good options in this area. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

We rolled in without a reservation and were greeted warmly in the office. Got a nice spot right away. Clean park with lots of shade. Sights were gravel but pretty level. For a smaller park there are lots of activities for kids. Only downside is the park is right next to a major highway so there is a lot of traffic noise. Didn't bother us but it might some. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

We came to Lincoln to visit an ill relative. We were planning on staying just a couple of nights, but things took a bad turn with our relative's health and we required a longer stay than we planned. The staff has been very accommodating and understanding of our situation and bent over backwards to help in any way possible. The park is very clean, quite and well maintained. If we ever have a need to come back to Lincoln we will definitely stay here again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

The cost has decreased somewhat since the last time we stayed two years ago. Still has the huge dog park and long gravel pull-thrus. Utilities (water, sewer, electric and cable) worked well. Electric heat to the hose bibs was still unplugged. Pretty full during the Nebraska home game Saturday night but otherwise lots of empty spaces. Assigned a site underneath trees which were dropping lots of leaves. Bathrooms clean and still warm. Didn't have time to use the hot tub. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Nice campground but site we had was not very level. We had to block up one side quite a bit to get it level. The hookups were all working well and the cable was good. The wifi was only good at best. Easy to get around the campground. We had heavy rain while we were there so we did not get around to see very much in the campground. We would stay again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

We used this park for an over night stay. It was a FHU w/cable, very clean and level site. I do think its was a little over priced. The park was right off I80 there was road noise however it was not at a level to be bothersome. We were lead to our site. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed overnight while passing through. Easy to access of interstate. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Cabins on site. Sites were level with all the necessary hook-ups. Gravel sites. Pull-throughs were easy to access and maneuver. Staff was friendly and courteous. Facilities were all clean. We did not use any of the extras. Seemed a bit pricey, but the campground was well maintained and clean. We would stay here again if visiting the area. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

This camp ground rv park was very busy when we arrived , not many empty spaces available. Sites were easy to get into. It had a great gated area on a hill for dog,.they even provide poop bags! It had a pool, games room, jacuzzi, play ground, lots to keep the kids busy. We just stopped for one night on our road trip. It was in a great location , close to shopping.Saturdays they serve all you can eat pancake breakfast I would have enjoyed that but we arrived on a Wednesday. Friday's and Saturdays they read bedtime stories to the young children. I probably wouldn't make it a destination stop but for an overnighter it was awesome and I would definitely come back again.
