Even though there was no water or sewer hookups, being inside the National Park with 50A electric made up for that and then some. Location was the key attribute when we made these reservations. We had an excellent site in B39. Our site was plenty long for our 43' coach and Jeep. The campground is clean and the volunteers keep a good watch on things throughout the day. The dump station was convenient as we stayed for 2 weeks. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend in the "B" loop. The "B" loop really needs to close down for a year for a complete renovation. The sites are nothing but dirt outlined with dead trees. The ants were horrible - literally everywhere. We were fortunate to be camped next to a group that loved climbing up to the top of the rocks above our site and screaming tarzan sounds to their friends for a couple of hours each evening. Such a disappointing national park campground experience. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the nicer National Park campgrounds we have stayed in. Loop A has paved sites with nice red pea gravel sitting areas. The restrooms look modern and were kept very clean. There are a wide variety of sites, some large enough for 40' coaches. Sites are fairly close to each other. The biggest plus factor is location. You are close to the Visitor Center and shuttles. Staying in the park allows you to avoid the long lines to enter each morning. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Oscar's Grill in town was excellent for dinner. Springdale pricing is high for food and groceries. There are supermarkets in Hurricane.

This was one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever stayed in. The sites were spacious, well apart from one another, and ours backed onto a river. I did book it a full 6 months prior to our trip. The bathrooms were clean, although there were no showers on site, there are pay showers in town which is within walking distance (this was the only reason it did not receive a 10). We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Very convenient location, close to visitor center and shuttle bus stop into canyon. Nice views of surrounding mountains from most sites. Sites were fairly generous. We had 30 amp service. Perhaps nicest toilet facilities of any National Park campground I have ever been in. Very clean and attractive. Our site has some restricted view of mountains due to trees. Adjacent site and several sites across road would have been perfect. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

We managed a last minute stay of 1 night since I hadn't booked in advance. We loved the campground and our site was spacious The views from the campground are great. Site was gravel with a fire pit and picnic table. You can walk into Springdale from the campground. The shuttles inside Zion were great and very convenient. Managed to get OTA tv signal and decent Verizon service. We would stay here again. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Hiking the narrows was one of our favorite things in Zion with the Overlook up by the Hwy 9 tunnel being a close second.

Paid $15 a night with passport America. Electric only and most sites are back-in. The bathrooms were clean. No showers in campground. Picked loop A site 06. Inside the loop. Close to the visitor center but far enough away from the noise. Loved this campground because of location. Gladly gave up showers laundry and full hook up for location. Parking usually was full by mid morning so it was nice to just walk right to shuttles straight from campsite. Would definitely stay again. I give this an 8 because it's not full hookup and sites are close together. Other than that, it is great. With the temperatures in the area, it is nice that the national park campground has sites with electricity. The Virgin River flows along the edge of the park and many people were beating the mid-day heat by lounging in the river. Definitely a bonus to the campground. The sites are very close so if you are sitting outside you are going to hear everyone else's music and conversation. It's still better than any private/commercial campground. Location to the Zion park buses is unmatched. I can't imagine staying outside of this park. The vehicle entry gate to the park gets a line early in the AM and the parking lots fill quickly. When you are camping in the park though you simply walk maybe 1/4 mile to the visitor center. No traffic, no backups. There is a long line in the morning for the shuttle buses. Hikers like to get moving early. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Spacious sites, some have more shade than others. Electric only at site, dump site and fresh water available at the exit. No showers in the campground. Beautiful setting. Easy access to town, visitor center, and park shuttle. Very popular park; reserve sites online early.

Nice enough campground inside Zion National Park. Some level back-in and a couple of pull-through gravel sites. ONLY have electric, most 30 amp, 6 are 50 amp, but they are in a group and very short, unlevel and close together. Most sites are pretty roomy and mostly treed. Picnic Table and fire ring at each. THERE ARE NO SHOWERS IN THE PARK, so plan accordingly. Must reserve WELL in advance. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shuttle very near campground for transportation into Zion NP and the town of Springdale. If you are up to it, hike Angel's Landing. It is a once in a lifetime experience but very challenging.

This is a wonderful place to stay when in Zion. I think there are a few electric sites, but we were dry camping. The sites were a wide variety, but we found something that fit our 30' rig without much trouble. Then again, there weren't very many people here! We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Watchman park has a very scenic location and is convenient to the Zion transportation system which helps with the logistics of navigating the beautiful but crowded park. Campsites have only electric hookups. Reserve very early and try not to get sites with a letter after the number. Our site 53C was very small, crowded and not level. Our neighbor had to roll-up their awning so we could back-in. Some sites are very spacious. The restrooms were clean - no showers. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Campground was very nice, but we used it mostly to sleep and eat between trips to the canyon. It's about a quarter mile walk to the shuttles to the canyon. The views are amazing, and the wildlife is a great bonus. We saw mule deer, and eagle, wild turkeys and a gray fox in one short stretch of the shuttle route. We will come back here and stay longer. Tips for other Campers:

There is a shuttle from the campground into the nearby town. Lots of shops and restaurants. We took the shuttle in and walked back , about 2 miles. Ate at an expensive and not very good Mexican place. A very pleasant walk, despite the bad food.

Let's be clear about this campground..... it's about location, location, location. Watchman is located IN Zion National Park!!!! When we arrived, the campground was full; reservations are STRONGLY recommended.

The campground is limited to "Electric" only sites. There is a dump station near the entrance of the campground. Our site (B-13) was listed as 70' long. When we arrived at the site, there were two logs separating the back 20' from the front of the site. The overhang was partially shaded and the picnic table was located there. We had room to park our 40' MH plus our "toad" in the site without encroaching into the road.

The sites are of the local crushed red rocks and even after the rain, we didn't have mud. Some of the sites are fully shaded; others are not.

Overall, a very nice campground. We'll be back for sure! We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
