I have a viewfinder fk19 from cruiserrv. I cannot find anywhere if the wheel bearings are sealed or not. I need to know if I should have them repacked or not. the rv has about 3000 miles on it. I know I should have checked on this when I bought it but slipped my mind.

Jim,
Remove the end cap and see if you see grease. If so then they are not sealed bearings. I bet you will see grease as most RV units run grease bearings. -------------------- John

Hi Jim-
If you have the same Lippert axles as on our V24SD, you can get info at LCI1.com. -Jayme -------------------- It's always the batteries!

Jim, The end caps extend out from the hub about 6 inches. Without removing the tire I took off the very end cap and found a rubber seal and no grease. I assume the long hub is for grease storage but am not sure. Jim Remove the end cap and see if you see grease. If so then they are not sealed bearings. I bet you will see grease as most RV units run grease bearings. |
