Does anyone have any info on any campgrounds within about a 20 mile radius of Roanoke, VA that would be good for a stay of several months for a big rig?
Thanks...Jan PS Forgot to mention NOT Dixie... |

The only one we found is in Salem south of Roanoke. The site is "Dixie Caverns Campground" on I-81 at exit 132 and road 647. This site is not to good, the sewer system has been a problem for more than a year. This may be fixed now and they did have a dump station that worked. The park is OK for a couple nights. Park had a lot of very old RV units that need to go to the dump. We used park as a place to tour Roanoke and found it only takes a short time to drive up to town. Rating in TT was 3.5/7.5/7.
