We're looking to purchase our new Mobile Palace,
and have avoided National RV because of their bankruptcy late last year.
But then I thought,
if we buy a used one, it probably wouldn't be under warranty anyway.

If you own one, would you buy another?

Any other ideas on the subject?

Thanks!

Old Rexhall we love, but looking for our new Mobile Palace
We have a BIG pick-up which tows a rented auto transport to carry my Toy Pup.
This information was effective until 2010, when Teresa went her own way.
Don't know if Keith still owns the RV or not.
Teresa ended up moving to the Rio Grande Valley in a mobile home park. THIS is the place to come from October thru April. Many RV parks, and there are so many activities all the parks offer! I can dance from 9 am to 10 pm every night, go to bingo, play shuffleboard, do crafts, play instruments in jam sessions, golf, go to the nearby town of Nuevo Progreso for cheap dental and medical and items and dancing and delicious food and no rip-offs and no gun battles by the drug cartels. weather here is amazing! Roses grow better here than in Portland, Oregon, the town of the Rose Parade. Cheap living here. many rv parks to choose from. nice people. park rent is from 250 month to 1000 month, depending on your desires. this area is a party town for active senior citizens. lotsa hospitals around here, too, to cater to the Winter Texans. Put in Rio Grande Valley in a google search, and see what happens. I suggest Weslaco, Donna, or Mercedes. The other towns are too big with crazy traffic, and not near Nuevo Progreso.
Any questions, please respond to zingy4444@yahoo.com.
A fan of RVing and fun retirement!

ZINGY, CAN NOT ADVISE YOU ABOUT NATIONAL, BUT I CAN TELL YOU HOW TO SAVE SOME BIG BUCKS ON A RV AND HHR.
JANE AND I ARE LEAVING THE LIFE OF RVING TO GO BACK TO OUR NATIVE HOME OF ARKANSAS. WE HAVE A 2002 HOLIDAY RAMBLER ENDEAVOR DIESEL PUSHER WITH DIESEL GENERATOR, THREE SLIDES, AND REALLY ALL THE STUFF YOU WANT ON AN RV. WE BOUGHT A 2007 CHEVY HHR IN MATCHING COLOR TONES AND HAD IT CUSTOM INSTALLED WITH A NEW TOWING SYSTEM. RV HAS 64,834 MILES AND HHR HAS 10,567 MILES. WE ARE ASKING $99,872.00 FOR THE COMBO. IF INTERESTED I WILL SEND HISTORY AND PICTURES.
MAY YOU FIND THE RIGHT RV, WHEREVER YOU BUY. WE LOVED THE LIFE.
RICK
PS: WE ARE GOOD SAMS MEMBERS WITH "CSP" COVERAGE AND THEY ARE GREAT, AS GOOD AS ANY WARRANTY.

WE HAVE A NATIONAL RV DOLPHIN THAT WE BOUGHT USED. WE HAVE REALLY ENJOYED IT AND HAVE HAD NO TROUBLES AT ALL. IT'S A 2004 MODEL 5342 AND WE LIVED IN IT FOR 6 MONTHS WHILE BUILDING OUR SUMMER HOME. EVEN THOUGH IT'S FOR SALE NOW; WE WILL BE SAD TO SEE IT GO. IT'S BEEN WONDERFUL. WE'D BUY ANOTHER ONE IN A HEARTBEAT IF WE DIDN'T HAVE A SUMMER HOME TO GO TO NOW. GOOD LUCK!

If you buy the RV from a dealship, then it'll at the very least be under a warranty of some sort from the dealership. And they're always offering the "extended warranty plan" for a few dollars more. It wouldn't hurt to investigate.

You really have to do some investigating on what aspects are exclusive to that brand and what parts you will not be able to find. Our FIRST motor home as a Midas which hasn't been produced for 12 years but all the parts were typically found at virtually any RV dealership. Most RV manufacturers do not make any of the parts, they just assemble them. Water tanks usually are exclusive though. You should be able to negotiate a substantial discount or it is not worth the risk. Start singing that song called "SAVED BY ZERO"
