i'm looking for a toad that can be hauled four wheels on the ground.
all i know now is that my toyota tacoma needs the driveshaft dropped. seems like a nuisance. thinking of getting a new used reliable vehicle that we can tow 4 wheels on the ground. preferabley a pick-up, or something where i can store fishing poles and carry two small dogs and maybe hold my bicycle when we move place to place. what is the tow weight? or how much does the rv weigh? is that what i should be concerned about? your advice, words of wisdom, and any other comments greatly appreciated! -------------------- [i]Teresa and Keith
Full-timing while remodeling restaurants around SW USA Old Rexhall we love, but looking for our new Mobile Palace We have a BIG pick-up which tows a rented auto transport to carry my Toy Pup. This information was effective until 2010, when Teresa went her own way. Don't know if Keith still owns the RV or not. Teresa ended up moving to the Rio Grande Valley in a mobile home park. THIS is the place to come from October thru April. Many RV parks, and there are so many activities all the parks offer! I can dance from 9 am to 10 pm every night, go to bingo, play shuffleboard, do crafts, play instruments in jam sessions, golf, go to the nearby town of Nuevo Progreso for cheap dental and medical and items and dancing and delicious food and no rip-offs and no gun battles by the drug cartels. weather here is amazing! Roses grow better here than in Portland, Oregon, the town of the Rose Parade. Cheap living here. many rv parks to choose from. nice people. park rent is from 250 month to 1000 month, depending on your desires. this area is a party town for active senior citizens. lotsa hospitals around here, too, to cater to the Winter Texans. Put in Rio Grande Valley in a google search, and see what happens. I suggest Weslaco, Donna, or Mercedes. The other towns are too big with crazy traffic, and not near Nuevo Progreso. Several years ago when I was deciding what buying to buy, I heard about a guy who bought a new Toyota 4 wheel drive and the salesman told him sure it will tow. He towed it about 200 miles and we he unhooked, his transmittion was completely shot. Couldn't move the truck. He went back to the dealer and the salesman was gone and the dealer denied everything. He had to pay for a new transmition. Be careful and make sure you read the instruction manual to see if you can and what are the limitations and prodedures. I even called Nissan and they sent me an email to have a backup in writing. -------------------- Lindsay Richards
