We're planning a trip for the early part of June, and part of it includes a 1-2 day stop at Lake Powell. We are looking for a place preferrably in walking distance to the lake to do some fishing from the shore and swimming. Is there a campground there that fits this description?
I looked through the reviews and old discussions and found limited information. It looks like Waheap is ok but is it close to the water? I saw one old review for Halls Crossing and no reviews for Painted Hills RV Park. Any of these close to the water? Unfortunately, it's not in the budget to rent a houseboat (or any boat), so we will be fishing from shore. Will we catch anything? Thanks for any info. -------------------- Chris G.
