Adds Shown On Rv Park Reivew Forum..., Looks like a Porn Add... Options

I am suprised that you allow adds such as the one I saw while reading the forum. Did you know these are shown on your forum??

A few years back I too mentioned that the ads were getting a bit risqué. I was told that the webmaster does allow ads in order to finance the website, but that he does not control what is shown.

Now here is the interesting part. The ad company is somehow able to show ads from websites that you have visited, so one member does not always get the same ads as another member. Recently I have been looking at websites that have lamps and cooktops. Now I am seeing ads for those two items in the ad banners on this website. Also when I do get the “ladies” (sometimes men) pictures they usually say something like, “Meet singles in the (my city) area.” So they can even get my location when I am online.

The good news is I have also been told that this involves cookies that are set on your computer whenever you visit websites and that if you delete your cookies frequently and if you set your security settings higher, you will not get these ads. But I’m not sure about that—just something I’ve been told. Perhaps someone with more technology savvy can give you better advice.
