I am thinking of breaking down and getting satellite tv for the TT. Which has the better pay as you go Dish or Direct TV? Any preference on satellite dishes? My brother mentioned the cube since it is automatic. Not sure I want to pay that much, but I don't want to spend an hour setting up tv reception either.

I have been checking out both Direct and Dish and Dish is the only one that has an good RV package. I have cable at home and have no need for Sat at home. Dish lets you turn on and off whenever you want. Direct only lets you turn the service off for 6 months at a time. Could be a problem if your coach sits for longer than 6 months. As for me I would only use it in campgrounds that had no or lousy cable. Haven't watched over the air TV for years, I guess that it is better than a sharp stick in the eye if no cable or sat....

Camping is why I have dish at home. That way you have the same programs other than locals if you wander far and one bill.I have cable for internet at home but is also my phone for I think was 69.95 phone service for five years. Magic jack and my computer is 53.13 and Dish is 74.76 or 127.89 a month total until I have to buy five more years of phone. I think I have about 5 years left as it was not out when I got the five year deal. -------------------- Home is where we park it.
