New Brunswick, Looking for rv parks in New Brunswick Options

Does anyone know of any great RV parks in New Brunswick. Looking for something on the ocean (sandy beach) but trying to avoid parks where the trailers are crammed in (not big on "field" camping) and would prefer large site well spaced from others. Have tried New River Beach Provincial Park (which we liked), Fundy National Park (not a park I would go back to). Also have had a couple of not great experiences with a couple of ocean front private parks (trailers crammed in like sardines!). Looking for any recommendations for kid friendly, large sites with some privacy, sandy beach rv camp areas. Thanks

Hi Maryann,
There are two provincial parks on the gulf side I can recommend. The first is Val Comeau http://www.tourismnewbrunswick.ca/en-CA/Pr...8118044604b.htm
where you can see the fishing boats come and go from your campsite, as the sites are towards the river, and to get to the beach you only have to cross the dunes.

It is situated on a cliff overlooking Northumberland Strait, and on clear days you can see PEI and the bridge.
Both parks have a beautiful beach, but sometimes you can encounter jellyfish. There are only electric hookups, but a dumping station and water points are provided. They are not very far from some smaller towns, but to my knowledge there are no kids programs. Both parks have only a few shade trees, but because of the huge space between sites one has sufficient privacy. As for the shade, with the constant breeze from the gulf, especially at Murry Beach, you won't need it.

Thank you for the information - these look great and just the sort of thing I was looking for. Although I love the convenience of full hook up provided by the private parks, I have not had much luck with finding a really nice private parks where they do not cram the trailers in side by side. The provincial parks for the most part seem to provide more spaciousness and privacy, so will probably stick with those. Thanks again

On further checking I found that the two provincial parks seem to have sewer hookups now. Have a good vacation.

There is a spot in St. Martins where it seems to fit your criteria. The name escapes me at the moment.
