We are looking for a lakefront campsite in a state park anywhere in Maine. Can anyone recommend not only the name of the CG but also site numbers to try and reserve? Thanks

Mount Blue State Park in the western side of the state, west and a little north of Farmington, is on a beautiful lake with a terrific mountain backdrop. There is also a lakefront state park between Augusta and Belfast on Highway #3 that has waterfront sites. I believe it is the Lake George State Park (but I am not certain). Check your Maine map. Sebagao Lake State Park is also a possibility, but pretty busy in the summer. There are also many private parks on Maine lakes.
