We'd like to know what you think about a couple of these little motor scooters as Alternet transportation?

All in all I think an electric scooter would be just as nice--cleaner too!

If you are talking gas powered, I'm sure they would be nice. I use an ELECTRIC scooter. I got it from Ego Vehicles in Rhode Island (www.egovehichles.com) but most VESPA scooter shops carry these, you can save the shipping charge if you have a VESPA store near you.

Another form of electric scooter is the E.V.A, also carried by VESPA stores. I don't know much about them except they are heavier than EGOs.

My husband and I have gas powered 49cc scooters and love them. We wench them into the truck before we hook up the trailer and away we go. They are perfect for scooting around parks and small seaside towns. You will get about 80 miles to the gallon and they are very quiet. I am 5ft 2in and can control mine with no problem.
