Really would like information on campsites closest to grand canyon. have been researching and can see most campgrounds in side the park don,t have hook ups. what your experience was when you stayed. maybe going in the spring around may . any info would be greatly apperciated. thanks

The Grand Canyon Trailer Village, inside the park on the South Rim, has full hook-ups with water sewer, and electric. It does not have cable or WIFI, however the park is neat and clean. We stayed their in January and it was not crowded and the snow was not much of a problem and we really didn't mind the deer strolling through the park.

I second Grand Canyon Trailer Village. We stayed there for a week. Can walk to the bus stop and be driven to see the sights and Ranger talks. We stayed there in mid-April. Not very busy, did snow on us one day then was perfect weather the rest of our stay and yes lots of deer and elk walking around the park.
