We are a Canadian couple in our early/mid 40's traveling in our professionally converted coach to Palm Springs or Yuma for 5 weeks in January. This is our first trip to the area and we're looking for park recommendations. Hoping we aren't too late to make a booking!

We're interested in the Palm Springs area or the Yuma area. What we're looking for is:

- Sunshine!
- Not very windy (we've heard some areas are quite windy)
- A clean park
- Pool
- Close to amenties (no tow)
- Biking trails

Any advise or recommendations you could provide will great be appreciated.

You will have plenty of sunshine in both locations.
You will have occasional wind in both places; more so in Yuma.
Most RV resorts in bot places are clean.

Both area's are spread out and offer in city RV Resorts. Both area's have anything you need. Including bus service that you will need if you don't bring an extra vehicle.
Biking trails are in the desert at both locations. High volume auto traffic in both locations so I wouldn't bike around myself.

If you don't want to do the tourist stuff, I think I would chose Yuma just for the affordability. Palm Springs is pretty expensive. Desert Hot Springs is an alternative and might be a bit cheaper but not by much and its a little bit out of the Palm Springs area.

In your 40s, the Palm Springs area will have much more to do. However, neither Palm Springs or Yuma are pedestrian friendly. You really will need a car. Depending on your rig and budget, Palm Springs area has a few parks that may be considered somewhat budget friendly, though the attraction to Palm Springs are the high end parks. The Outdoor resorts park in Cathedral City is great for 5th wheels and possibly TT and non Class A motorhomes. For Class A rigs, Outdoor Resorts Indio and Motorcoach Country Club are the absolute best parks you will ever see, end of story. We absolutely hated Yuma, but many people find it fine. As a side note, Algodones, Mexico is a must visit for Eyeglasses and dental care, if you are in the market for such things and are in the Yuma area (or willing to drive 3 hours from Palm Springs, our option).
