We have camped in Gettysburg three times in the past 3 years, at both Drummer Boy and at Round Top. We have a 31' travel trailer pulled by a big Ford 350 pick up truck.
Both campgrounds are teriffic, but we found that Round Top suited us better. Drummer Boy is large and very crowded in the summer. At the same time of year, Round Top was almost full but did not seem nearly as crowded. Both have large pools and great camp stores. The sites at Round Top were a little larger and

more level. Round Top had a mini-golf course as well. The only drawback for either campground was the inadequacy in the number of bathhouses available (this is all too common everywhere). The prices were close to the same, but the cable tv availability at Round Top was far superior. If TV matters, definitely go to Round Top. Round Top is located right next to the national battlefield and the self-guided tour can begin immediately. Both places had friendly and very useful employees. Both were kept as clean as a crowded summertime campground could be kept.
We enjoyed both campgrounds, but found Round Top to be just that much more pleasant.
