Hitch-N-Post Campground, Panguitch, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I spent two months here. The park is on main street and located convenient to shopping, restaurants and gas. Very reasonable rates. Full hookups for 30 and 50 amp. Roads and sites are gravel. Several large trees for shade. Sites are mostly level but could use some improvement. They have a tent area and nice recreation building. Laundry facility on site. The manager-owner is a great guy willing to help with any problems. The town is located within 25 miles of Bryce National Park with other parks in the surrounding area. Panguitch is a small country town with historic building. No major grocery stores. Two Walmarts one in Cedar City and one in Richfield both 75 miles one-way. The only issue I had was with the RV park Wi-Fi. Very weak especially when park has several travelers. Constantly on-off situation. Manager claims not his fault trying to get better service from companies in area. Also Verizon service is weak. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Hitch-N-Post Campground in a Motorhome.

Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort RV Park, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 21 days. Assigned to space 307. Could not get cable tv to work or pick up signal on rooftop antena. Their cable tv also did not work. Wifi requires a spearate charge. Could not get wifi to connect. After talking to rv office and wifi company was advised they were working on problem areas in park but would be two to three weeks. Manager of park and wifi company were very nice about problems but only solution was to move to different area. Still no guarantee wifi would be good. This park in part of the riverside casino which makes millions of dollars. I find no excuse for the rv park problems. There does not seem to be any ergentcy in fixing problems. Daily rates are very reasonable, however the double the rate durring holidays. We camped at Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Scheffel's Hideaway Campground, Two Rivers, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for a month. Great park with good wifi and TV. Park has wide smooth gravel or chat roads and sites. Beautiful trees surround the park and provide shade. Walking trails lead from the park to the shoreline of Lake Michigan. They have a great recreational or meeting room with a covered patio and large screen TV. Not all sites are full hookup so call ahead. Sites are wide with lots of room from you neighbor.. Very close to town and shopping. Nice restaurant and bar next to park. Managers/owners are great people. They are friendly and willing to help with any problem. This park is well maintained. We camped at Scheffel's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

Breezy Hill Campground (formerly Fond du Lac / Eden KOA), Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This park has no cable tv, wifi is not strong. Gravel sites mostly level. Park is crowded and very expensive. Owner was nice but insisted the rates were reasonable for how nice the park was. I am a full time traveler and never paid over $40 throughout most of the U.S. This park is no better then other parks for a lot less. This park is for the local weekenders. It appears to be geared toward kids and vacationers. Full timers stay away. Traveled roads and tight turns between trees. We camped at Breezy Hill Campground (formerly Fond du Lac / Eden KOA) in a Motorhome.

Horseshoe Casino RV Park, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is shown on Goodsam Travel as "Bluffs Run RV Park" it is now the Horseshoe Casino. The spaces are in a cement lot with just electric and water. They have a dump station. No Wifi is available. I was mislead in believing this was a full service park. The $40 weekly and $50 on weekends is extreme considering it is not a full service park. All spaces are back in. Would not stay here again. We camped at Horseshoe Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Falcon Meadow Campground, Falcon, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is a small dirt road privately owned park. No discounts offered. Website is totally misleading. Called ahead to make reservations. Accommodations that were made on phone for three days were totally different when I arrived. Taken to one spot and advised we would need to change spots the second night. Advise the third night would have to be in a tent site with 120 electric only. Avoid this park if possible. Park is next to Interstate, very noisy. We camped at Falcon Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.

Great park. Very clean with wide spaces for RV and toad. Plenty of surrounding area to hike or walk the pooch. Close to Walmart, movie theaters and restaurants. Full hook ups 30-50 amps. No pool, restrooms or showers but clean laundry room and library. Sites have individual patios. Need to call ahead for reservations. Good rates. Stayed in a 31' RV for two months. Seal Rocks RV Cove, Seal Rock, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here seven days while traveling up the coast in a class A motorhome. They had a special 205.00 for 5 days and they give you two additional days free. Very nice park with spacious secluded sites. Close walk to the beach. This park is built into a hillside overlooking the ocean. Some sites have an ocean view but not all. Strong free wifi, cable TV and water pressure (might want to use your pressure regulator). I would like to have rinsed off my motorhome but as with most parks this was not permitted. I would stay again. We camped at Seal Rocks RV Cove in a Motorhome.

Klamath River RV Park, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 7 days in a motorhome. This park is next to the Klamath River with great views. I would not stay here without a discount. They charge extra for everything cable, wifi and $10 if you want to wash your motorhome. Grass only no pads. Although they allow dogs, they don't offer poop bags. Check or Cash only if you use a discount. Not a park for a traveler trying to keep expenses down. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Expensive unless you have a good discount. They charge for everything. If you want cable or wifi there is an extra daily charge. OK to wash your motorhome but they charge $10. Dogs allowed but no poop bags provided. I ran out while there. Must pay cash or check only with discount. On good note, It is next to river with beautiful views.

Redding RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good park for over nighters. Stayed a month to see attractions in area. Park hosts are very nice. Wifi (strong) and cable included. Good level cement pads but very small grass areas. Park is located on a hill very close to I-5 interstate. Lots of interstate noise. Not a place for light sleepers. A trailer exploded while we were there. Appears to be drug related. Freighting experience ! I would not stay again. We camped at Redding RV Park in a Motorhome.
