River Country Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is well taken care for. The entire grounds are spotless and the three pool areas were well maintained. I do not normally give ten ratings but this park had more amenities like swings all along walkways and the river. We intend to return and watch the dragon boats. The staff were all friendly and catered to us several times. Small picnic tables. We camped at River Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Note to incoming RV'ers. There are two River Roads. Google Maps sent us to the wrong one which is in a neighborhood on the river in Southside, Al. We were stuck and had to back into a driveway to turn around. The lady told us many rigs do the same thing. This park is in the middle of Gadsden across from the mall. If you see houses on narrow streets this is not the right River Road. You should see fast food places and overpasses.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time at this park and plan to return. Our site was level and was next to the bathroom and pool. The water pressure is low and we experienced low voltage at the post for 30 amps. The park is highly maintained otherwise with a friendly staff. Plenty to do and see if you don't mind driving a short distance. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Saint George Island and hole in the wall restaurants nearby are good. Prices are low. Beach across the street was murky for a few days due to storms but cleared nicely before we left.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Emporia, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for only one night en route to DC. The park has been here for a long time but everything was in good clean order. We would stay here for a weekend with no problem. The staff was real nice. We will stop again when going Northeast. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Motorhome.

Solitude Pointe, Cleveland, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very small but nice. The sites are big, paved, and have nice picnic tables and even an electric light. The park is appropriately named. It is quiet and not near any stores but two great state parks are nearby. We camped with friends. One point of warning. The lodge is a private residence until it is rented. Don't make our mistake and just walk in. The owners were friendly. We would go there again. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Motorhome.
