North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This camp is clean, with easy access from I94, and Walmart with three blocks. The sites are very long side by side's with gravel. If they aren't full, the staff assign the spots so you are spaced out without a neighbor. We had a nice size tree and small amount of luscious green grass with the front looking out into a grass field. What made our decision was the friendliness of the staff from our first phone call to arrival to switching sites due to our personal preference. We had ultimate customer service. There are a lot of long term campers set up, but for the most part those sites are kept up and don't look junky. Paved streets would greatly improve looks of the entire camp. Excellent cell and satellite coverage. We camped at North Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Shadehill Recreation Area, Shadehill, South Dakota

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is another excellent SD State Park facility. Sites are electric only, mostly back-in, paved roads, and extremely quiet. There is water and a dump site outside the camp area. We had no cell service from our site but could pick up satellite TV. Some sites have lake view and very pretty with the fall color. Staff at the gate were very friendly and helpful. Camp hosts were on site. Only negative was that the garbage cans smelled very bad. Our rate included the state park fee. We definitely hope to come back. We camped at Shadehill Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Saginaw Campground, Saginaw, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small town campground that is easily accessible without a lot of amenities. The camp was mowed, convenient and has lots of shade but not so much we couldn't access satellite tv. Verizon was spotty. There are lots of long term people set up. The only negative was that one long term camper had a large white tent set up that was unsightly. The owner was very friendly and even refunded an overcharge without any issues. Cash or checks only, they do not take credit cards. There are train tracks and highway noise but it is wasn't anything that bothered us. We will definitely stay again when in the area. We camped at Saginaw Campground in a Motorhome.

County Line Campground, Summit, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean neat campground in a small town with a large fuel stop. It is excellent for a 1-2 night stopover. The only negative was that when they aren't full they could spread the campers out a little. Sites are pretty close together. The new owners were exceptionally friendly and you can tell they have put a lot of work in maintaining the camp. We will definitely stay again. We camped at County Line Campground in a Motorhome.

Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This camp is set up about the best I have ever seen including our site was level. The owner can point out which sites you can get satellite from. The only negative is that Verizon cell service was horrible and that isn't the campgrounds fault. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alpen Rose RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This camp is just Ok. Water, sewer, electric and satellite worked. Stayed here a week and I would never stay here again. The lower part of the camp floods. There were several that had their electric and sewer lines covered up by water for several days. Our site was close to a community room so the breakfast crowd and some guy on a loader woke us every morning. One night was music night and lots of hooping and hollering going on after we wanted to go to bed. Tents aren't allowed but our neighbors had one. Staff and workers seem to be so chummy they forget who the customer is-which in this case was me and I wasn't a happy one. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
