Chantilly Farm, Floyd, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful new campground with level sites and stunning views of the rolling Virginia countryside. The entrance to the property was smooth and I simply drove my 38 foot coach into the pull-through site and hooked up the electric, water & sewer. I did not even need my jacks because the site was perfectly level. The bathroom/shower house was brand new and was very spacious. This a great campground with hiking trails and a beautiful new building for weddings and large events. It is set up perfect for large music festivals, allowing the largest coaches to pull up directly behind the large stage. The natural amphitheater for performances is amazing and will surely be a favorite for musicians and crowds. I was fortunate to meet the owner while we were at the campground and he made sure our stay was a great experience. I highly recommend Chantilly to anyone looking for a great RV park in Virginia. We camped at Chantilly Farm in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Farm hosts an excellent bluegrass festival in May that features the top names in bluegrass. They also host many other events throughout the year including a gospel show and car show. Chantilly Farm is only a few miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Floyd is a great place to visit! They have very nice shops and restaurants with something to offer everyone. It is also home to The Floyd Country Store, a venue on the Crooked Road Trail that has been in business for over one hundred years.

Moonshine Creek Campground, Balsam, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was an amazing park! It was so beautiful and well kept! The bathrooms were brand new and were better than my own at home! The creek...oh the creek! We loved putting our feet into the creek and listening to the rushing water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were very welcoming despite our large family size. Make sure you take the time to visit this wonderful park. We camped at Moonshine Creek Campground in a Motorhome.
