Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

I picked Gulf Coast after looking at crime statistics for Beaumont, TX. This resort is secure, clean and has nice a laundry facility. Wow, the dryer runs forever ! Anyway, we needed a few items at Walmart. We were in the store for 20 minutes and somebody stole our Nevada license plate...2000 miles from home. Yikes! Filed a report online with Beaumont PD and have not heard back from them yet. We couldn't wait to leave for Village Creek State Park the next day. Not a bad reflection upon Gulf Creek at all. They were great. We just want to alert folks that Torx license plate screws were purchased immediately. Tell a friend. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Village Creek State Park, Lumberton, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

You are greeted at the campground entrance by the ranger in the station. Add $3 per person per day for park access. After having our license plate stolen the day before, we were happy to be in a secure location. All the Easter campers left Sunday morning and there were only a couple of trailers here. The staff takes great pride in keeping the restrooms/showers clean. But be sure to dry off the shower tile seat, as the excess bleach will decolor your towel/clothes. They could use an extra hook for clothes on the door. One afternoon, we heard live music from upstream, which was great.. The rangers made several rounds per day to ensure that all was well with us campers. We enjoyed great golf nearby and did not see any alligators. I was able to get WiFi with my BearExtender booster. Verizon worked well too. We look forward to visiting other Texas State parks. We camped at Village Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park has close proximity to I 515, so we could get to the Mountain West tournament at UNLV with no delay. That part of town also affords easy access to Boulder City, where we golfed. I like the secure park entrance and ice machine. Very quiet. Wifi worked OK without my booster. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Fiddler's Campground at Furnace Creek Resort, Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Fiddler's Campground is located directly behind the Furnace Creek gas station. Check-in is at the Furnace Creek Ranch arch. Gravel sites with no services, but the NPS Campground was across the road with flush toilets. We came for the Golf tournament in Jan. How fun. Free RV dump station and fresh water is right across the road from the gas station. We had free access to the pool and shower. We practiced pickleball on the tennis court...Wish they would paint lines for pickleball. WiFi worked fine with the BearExtender. Good Verizon signal. We camped at Fiddler's Campground at Furnace Creek Resort in a Travel Trailer.

East Shore RV Park, San Dimas, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient location off Highway 10, with a guard at the entrance. We stayed in space #A97. With a BearExtender WiFi booster, we got WiFi about 60% of the time. Pretty park with full hookups. Public golf course about 2 miles away. No view at our spot, but we would stay again. We camped at East Shore RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Wow. The restrooms were spotless. What a great concept to use the fairgrounds for RVers. There is a $20 deposit for the electronic door to the bathroom, which was promptly refunded. This was our Bay Area base camp. The sites are quite simple, yet have full hook-ups. BART is about 5 miles away, so we got to visit downtown SF with no problem. There are several golf courses nearby at reasonable mid-week rates. We got a kick out of playing the executive course which is in the middle of a horse racing track...brilliant. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Mono Vista RV Park, Lee Vining, California

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This was our base camp for the beer festival in nearby Mammoth. Our site was adequate, with full hook ups and a picnic bench. If you sat on the bench by the playground, you could get WiFi from the library across the road. Staff was kind and gave us a shower token each day. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
