Harbor Cove RV Resort, Coldwater, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Located in an industrial park, which didn't affect our stay at all. Harbor Cove it a very nice campground with awesome water views. It's a relatively new campground, and surprising to see it was only 10% occupied during our stay. However, calling it a "Resort" is a stretch. Only a few of the seasonal sites have concrete pads, There's no cable, there are no activities, even though they advertise a pot luck dinner and "Great food" from proprietors Marty & Rose of Charlie's Pride BBQ and Catering, which was never open. Oh, and bring a fly swatter. You'll get a workout. All in all, with the view, and a few improvements, this campground can easily become a "Resort". The way it is now, it is still way better than some of the places we've stayed recently, and we would stay here again if we are in the area . We camped at Harbor Cove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay here started off on the wrong foot from the get-go. Since April, the road is closed about a half mile from the campground, and there's no warning on the campground's website. Luckily, a Streetsboro police officer saw us when we were pulled over calling the campground for directions and gave us directions to get there (a 12-mile detour) This campground is quite busy and full most of the time we were here. Unfortunately, the utilities are not up to the level they should be for the number of campsites. we experienced multiple days of power shortages, low to no water pressure, and cable outages. The sewer pipe at our site was not threaded so we had to go out and purchase blocks to secure (which we left for the next camper). As for a KOA, this one is probably at the bottom level we've stayed at during our travels, and we would not stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $56.00

Beautiful campground with lush grass between sites and mature trees throughout. Great staff. Many of the campers bring their "toys" here to ride Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Not much else to do in the area. We camped at Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A beautiful, well maintained campground, mostly with "owned" sites, but there are a few rentals. Stayed 10 days and really didn't want to leave. the views out our front windshield of the lake was mesmerizing . We camped at Sunny Brook RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Haven Retreat, Indianapolis, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Well run campground with friendly staff. Site layout is a little weird with the set up being driver side to driver side, but on a positive note, you don't see your neighbors sewer hookup when you are outside. The entire 200 section is mostly gravel. We were fortunate to get site 211 and had a grass side yard. Very close to the center of Indianapolis, with lots to do and see. We camped at Lake Haven Retreat in a Motorhome.

Singing Hills RV Park & Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

If you looking for a campground with a lot of activities and amenities, this one is not for you. However, if your looking for a great place to stop and relax, smell the flowers, and listen to the birds and neighboring farm animals, then make sure you put this one on your list to visit. We stayed here for a month and throughly enjoyed our time here, so much so that we were sad to leave. The owners are fantastic and go out of their way to make sure everything is ok. We camped at Singing Hills RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best state parks we've visited. It is very well kept and the layout of campsites are angled for more privacy. The interior roads are asphalt paved and wide enough to easily navigate. However there is a sharp turn as your leaving the A loop. Just take it slow around the curve.

We didn't use shower rooms except during a tornado warning. the local emergency sirens sounded and the ranger began circling the campground with his siren on telling everyone to move to the closet shower building. he then stopped by several times to check on everyone, and give us updates on the storm.

There is a restaurant at the lodge, which is next to the marina, good food and service at a reasonable price. There is also a Day Use section with athletic fields, tennis courts, frisbee golf, etc. you can also have a picnic at one of the shelters there.

We enjoyed our time here and would visit again if we were back in the area. We camped at Joe Wheeler State Park in a Motorhome.

Ho-Hum RV Park, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a hidden gem. We stayed here for a month and although it has no amenities, it was the best campground we ever stayed at. Their tagline "It's just another ho hum day in paradise" is spot on. We really enjoyed ourselves meeting our neighbors and the view of the gulf is just incredible. Only downside, which is not the fault of the campground, is the lack of any good grocery stores in the area. But hey, I'll take a weekly trip to Crawfordville (30+ miles) to be able to enjoy myself at a great place like Ho Hum. We definitely plan on returning and spending a longer time here. We camped at Ho-Hum RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $81.00
Overall Rating:

Conveniently located to St. Augustine. Very well kept campground with friendly, and helpful staff. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we stayed during a cold spell, or we would have used more of the amenities. Site sloped considerably in front so we had to park right on the rear edge of the site in order to be level. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.
