River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through, gravel site. Clean. Sites are close but adequate. Train noises at night but they didn't really affect our sleep. Nothing pretty but satisfactory for an overnight stay. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Three Forks Market & RV Park, Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is an over night camping spot for self contained rigs: there are no showers, toilets, laundry facilities or TV hook ups. This is an large open field around a grocery market where they have put down grass sod, picnic tables, sewer, water and electric connections and airport mix (packed gravel) down for parking pads. There are a few trees around the parking pads but no real shade. There is no TV cable or satellite connection provided, but your own Direct TV satellite connection is very easy. The area is fenced off and quiet. Obviously it is very easy to walk across the lawn to the market if you need anything; they do have a snack bar. We were in site 9 which is the farthest site away from the market and closest to the surrounding neighborhood; there was a chained up dog at a house across the street from our campsite which barked almost non-stop while we were there, it was sad and really quite irritating. Not the RV park's issue, but it did taint our stay. I think the $40.00 overnight charge is a bit steep for what they provide but it was easy and convenient from the highway; it was a pull through site. There is no highway noise. We would stay there again but would ask for a site away from the barking dog. We camped at Three Forks Market & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a quick, easy, pull off facility for an over night stay. The $40.00 fee is a bit steep but I guess you pay for convenience.

Heald's Haven RV & Campground (CLOSED), Salmon, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, peaceful and scenic location right next to the river. You are parked on grass, with partial shade and full views of surrounding mountains; we were level and required no levelling blocks. You are about 100 yards from the river bank and the area is grass covered up to the vegetation along the river bank, which is the home to several deer and some fawns. You have full hook ups including: water, sewer, wifi and 30 amp electric. ATT cell phone coverage is weak and sporadic. Sites include a fire ring and picnic table. There is no TV cable or satellite hook up but we got Direct TV satellite connection without any difficulty. The owner will meet you when you arrive to guide to your site in their golf cart; they are very welcoming and friendly. The location of the park is about 10 minutes out of town so that you can drive back to town to explore and take advantage of the recreational opportunities located there. For our needs this place is a 10/10. We will hopefully stay here again in the future. We camped at Heald's Haven RV & Campground (CLOSED) in a Fifth Wheel.
