Winthrop / N. Cascades National Park KOA, Winthrop, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights and enjoyed it very much. The staff was terrific, they let us choose our own site and even helped us change a reservation at another KOA. The moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed. The facility is lovely with lot of shade and grass. And in typical KOA fashion had lots of activities. We camped at Winthrop / N. Cascades National Park KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Don't miss Shafer Museum in Winthrop. It displays life in an old western town, has wonderful exhibits and an amazing amount of artifacts. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable.

Silver Falls State Park, Sublimity, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights which was not enough to enjoy all this park had to offer. Our site was very private, level and easy to access. The entire park is beautiful. The drive in through Christmas tree country was nice and not a bad pull. We were in site 36B. We camped at Silver Falls State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We rode our bikes from the campground to the bike loop. The beginning part is a bit steep but once you make the loop it evens out. Was a fun ride.

Valley of the Rogue State Park, Gold Hill, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park that is well laid out. Sites are close but not too close. There is a nice bike path and a nice walk along the river. The only negative would be the proximity of Interstate 5. There is definitely road noise. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mt Lassen / Shingletown KOA, Shingletown, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at many KOA campgrounds across the U.S. and this KOA is by far one of the nicest. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were immaculate and there were lots of activities including tree swings and horseshoes. Great park!! We camped at Mt Lassen / Shingletown KOA in a Travel Trailer.
