Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice RV Park. It has easy access to the Interstate and is close to the city of Paducah. The streets are asphalt and the sites are gravel. There are quite a few pull through sites. All the area is level. Wifi worked great; electric, water and sewer were fine. Cable TV was fine. There is a pool, but we did not use. The entire park was neat and the management was extremely nice. We would definitely stay there again. To us the sites were a little close, but doable. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Paducah water front is pretty. The city sits on the Ohio River and from the downtown water front you can see where the Tennessee River enters the Ohio. Not far away is the land between the lakes wild life area. There is a quilt museum in town and the flood wall downtown has murals on it. There is a branch campus of Murray State University in town.

North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills campground; that is no pool, no cable, or walking trails etc. The park is neat and clean. The roads and sites are gravel and level. The Wi-Fi works quite well. The manager was friendly and escorted us to our site. The electricity, water, and sewer hooks are fine. We felt safe and would be happy to stay at the park again. Don't miss Roosevelt NP about 30 miles away at Meador. We camped at North Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean and neat looking park. The roads and sites are gravel. There is ample room to drive the roads. The sites are a little close, but okay. No open fires are allowed. The manager was very friendly and helpful. This park is near the interstate with easy access. The cable, sewer, water, and electric hooks are fine. Like most parks the Wi-Fi is a bit iffy. We would stay again. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground, Kalispell, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We stayed a week in a 25ft TT. while touring area. The roads are asphalt, a little tight for big motorhomes. If you come in a motorhome ask to be put in a back lot space, much more room. The laundry is great, 9 washers and 9 dryers. The sites are crushed stone with patio and fire pit. Water, electric, sewer and cable are all great. The wifi is okay depending on how many people are using it. There is a nice playground for children and a small swimming pond. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Glacier NP is about 30 miles away and going to the sun road is beautiful. We saw a grizzly from a safe distance. About an hour west is Libby, MT and the waterfall and rapids on the River is beautiful. The swinging bridge was fun, though it is expected to be replaced with an iron bridge in 2018.

Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 25 ft TT. The sites are very close. The roads and sites are all thin layer of gravel that allows mud to form in rain. The manager is very nice; the electric, water, and sewer work just fine. There is a table at each site and a small ring of rocks for a fire, but I would fear being too close to neighbor to light a fire. There a no trees among the sites. The location is safe and does okay for visiting Yellowstone NP and Cody, WY. I would look for a better park to stay in since this is average and the cost is high for what you get. If I could not get into a better park, I would stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is 30 miles from East Gate at Yellowstone, NP. You can drive about one hour to Red Lodge, MT and drive the beautiful Beartooth Highway. The park is about 20 miles to Cody where you can see Buffalo Bill Cody Reservoir and tour dam. There is an old Frontier Town with buildings and wagons from the 1800's that have been relocated to the site. There is also the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum of the West.

Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Roads are asphalt and pads are concrete with patio. Sites have a table and fire grill. The sites are roomy and plenty of space from your neighbor. The cable has many great channels and look good, but each site has a cable box and we had to point the remote out the window to change channels. The wifi came in strong at times, but was not consistent. The electric, water, and sewer work great. The management is very nice. There are two washers and two dryers that work fine. There is a lot of history here and the park is on the Oregon Trail We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cedar Bluff State Park - Bluffton Area, Ellis, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The park has asphalt roads and the sites are nice, long concrete pads with patio. There is a picnic table and fire pit at each site. There is plenty of room and distance from your neighbor. No cable and Wifi is weak. The featured lake is extremely low. The ranger said that the water table that feeds the lake is weak and the lake has constantly gone down since 1998. We camped at Cedar Bluff State Park - Bluffton Area in a Travel Trailer.

Deer Creek Valley RV Park, Topeka, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are double wide concrete. The sites are long and made of concrete and have a patio with picnic table. The laundry is very nice and the bathrooms are great. The WiFi and cable are excellent. There is a night light at each site and the width between sites is as good as I have seen. This is the first park I have rated a 10, but it deserves it. We stayed in a 25 ft RV and would be glad to return. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

About and hour from the campground is the National Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Strong, KS. It is a very nice area with walking trails and Bison Herd. Near there is a town called Council Grove which was settled in 1825 on the Santa Fe Trail. Council Grove was where the cattle drives would stop over on the way to KS railheads. It was also used by many settlers to meet and form wagon trains.

Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA, Sallisaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are gravel, the sites are gravel, but level. Each site has a table sand fire pit. The full hook ups work well. The cable TV is great and the wifi is one of the better I have seen. The pool is nice. The only draw back is water stands around sites after rains. We had to move due to standing water around the electrical and water hook up pole. We stayed overnight and would use it again as a stop over. We camped at Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very close to Memphis, TN. It has paved roads and nice wide concrete pads. The full hooks up work fine. The cable TV is good, but the wifi is almost non-existent. The pool is fine. Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins, Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park with about 17 or 18 sites. The road is asphalt and the sites are concrete pads with a fire ring and picnic table. The table sits on a crushed stone patio. All sites are level, full hook up, and neat. Cable TV has about 50 channels and works great. The Wi-Fi works great at the picnic table, but in the TT is a bit iffier. There is no pull through sites. The owners take great care of the grounds and equipment. They are nice and even helped me change a flat tire on my TT. Caution: there is no playground for children and the owners are concerned about children damaging foliage and grounds. Children are welcome, but they must be well behaved. Warning: the GPS will tell you to turn right as soon as you enter Helen. There once was a road around Helen at one time, but now it is closed and a gated community is there. To get to the campground go through Helen on Hwy 75 and about a mile past Helen you will see the sign indicating a right turn to Unicoi State Park, that is your turn and Creekwood is about 5 miles out on the right. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are asphalt and the sites are crushed stone. Full hook up is fine; water, sewer, and electric work fine. There is no cable and no wifi. You can pick up 4 or 5 tv stations with antenna. The sites are not close, plenty of room. The sites are fairly level and require only a little effort to level the unit. We stayed in site 30, a pull thru. The park is about 1600 feet above the city and it makes a great view of Huntsville at night. There is a planetarium adjacent to the park that is open on Saturday nights. On clear nights they allow visitors to look through the telescope. On the back side of the park there is a beautiful overlook of the mountains. There are plenty of hiking trails. It easy to get to the Marshall Space Flight Center from the park and 14 miles away is a beautiful nature center called Hays Nature Center. We would be happy to stay here again. Many people have rated this park and 8, but I list as a 7 since no concrete pads, no cable, no TV, no patio, and it is an older park, but clean. We camped at Monte Sano State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Creekside RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are asphalt and sites are crushed stone. Each site has a concrete patio with picnic table and fire ring, if requested. All sites are full hook up. Many of the 20 amp receptacles are out and they stated they are not replacing them. Cable is great but Wifi is weak. Creekside is a small campground and little tight for the larger Motorhomes, but there were some there. There are only about six pull-through sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Traffic is horrible on the main street though town, but the red light helps you get in the flow easier. This campground is close to all Smoky Mountain attractions. Tips for other Campers:

The NP is beautiful and a slow drive can produce good views of wildlife. If you like kids attractions, bring lots of money, there are many there. We like the Country Tonight Show, the Alpine Coaster at Goat Hill on Wares Ferry Road, Dixie Stampede, Dollywood, and the kids loved Magiquest a computer game structure you walk through and meet dragons and wizards.

Crush stone drive and sites, all level. Full hook up, but wifi is non existent except in name only. Each site has a small cement pad and picnic table and there is a night light on each electrical post. Sites are close. When I hooked up our water I was about 5 feet from our neighbors eating their nightly meal on their picnic table. This a great park for overnight or visiting Chattanooga sites for a couple of days.
