EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Asphalt roads and pads are concrete with patio. All utilizes are great and the Wi-Fi works well. Cable TV is fine. This is a very nice campground. The pool is good and the laundry is very clean. The staff is nice and helpful. The only negative is very little shade. All trees are young. You are only 15 miles from Memphis, TN and about 20 miles to Tunica, MS casinos. We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is well maintained and has a friendly staff. They led us to our site. All utilities worked well and the Wi-Fi is very good. The roads are asphalt and the sites are mostly crushed stone. Some upgraded sites are asphalt pull through. Ours was a pull through and was long enough for the TT and Truck. The pool is nice and the children's slide is cool - you enter from an underground tube. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Opryland/Grand Ole Opry is about 10 minutes away. Use the back road - left out of the KOA and you can avoid heavy traffic. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Ryman Auditorium are downtown. Plenty of shopping and restaurants near KOA.

Creekside RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park before and the Wi-Fi has been greatly improved, it works very well. The roads are asphalt and sites are crushed stone. Each site is level and has a concrete patio. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and the laundry is extremely clean. The whole campground is clean. The creek is pretty and has ducks. There is a street light to get you on Wares Valley Road and another to get you into the heavy traffic on the main drag through town. Those street lights are a valuable resource in this buy tourist town. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Walnut Hills Campground (formerly Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA), Staunton, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty campground. There were flowers at our site. We were placed in a pull through that was on an upper road overlooking the park. Great view of campers below and the lake, but no shade at this site. Most sites were very shady. The park was clean. The roads are asphalt and the sites are crushed stone, with a table and fire ring. We camped at Walnut Hills Campground (formerly Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Statesville / I-77 KOA, Statesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The staff are very nice and friendly and helpful. The park itself has a number of full timers. The roads are asphalt and the sites are gravel and grass. There are few full hook ups. I checked the bathrooms and showers and they were very clean. The laundry was clean. When driving in I saw the pool looked dirty. The pull through site we were escorted to was level, but water and electric only. We were then shown two back in sites that had cable, but again no sewer and the sites were very unlevel. We chose to leave and the management gave us a full refund and were very nice about it. It seems KOA has just not put the resources into the park that the staff need to manage it well. We camped at Statesville / I-77 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC), College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

There are a lot of good things to say about this park. The roads are paved the sites are crushed stone and level. Each site has a table and fire ring. The cable, water, and electric are great. The WiFi is excellent, at least in site 1313 where we stayed. The only issue that keeps it from getting a 10 is the closeness to your neighbor, although there is room for slide outs. The length of the sites are just long enough for your rig and tow vehicle. Large motor homes do abound in the park, but their toad must be parked parallel to the road in front of the motor home. You can visit the capitol and Gettysburg or just relax in the park. The miniature golf is well maintained and is only $1, the proceeds go to Children's Hospital. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They give all the information you need for travel in and out of DC by the near Metro station. We would be glad to stay here again. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Travel Trailer.

Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

The management has gone all out to keep this campground neat and clean. The roads and sites are crushed stone. Each site has a table and firepit. A few upgraded sites have concrete patios. The water, electric, and sewer work fine. There is no cable TV and the Wi-Fi is very poor. The campground has a nice pool, dog walk area, and playground. There are mountains around the park that make for a pretty view and you are near the Shenandoah National Park. We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Travel Trailer.

Wytheville KOA, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The roads and sites are crushed stone. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The new area has cement patios, but are farther from the showers and laundry service. The sewer, cable, water and electric are fine. The cable is okay and a little better than most campgrounds, you can check your e-mail. Over all this is a great campground for families. It has a playground, dog walk area, small fishing pond, large game room, minature golf and even a bowling alley. The road leading in is a little narrow, but manageable. We camped at Wytheville KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Mountain RV Resort, Pine Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Pine Mountain RV Resort is approximately 15 miles south of Lagrange, GA. If coming from the West your GPS will tell you to exit prior to reaching Lagrange and you will have to take back roads. Continue on to Lagrange and take the exit for HWY 27. The park is on HWY 27. The perimeter road is asphalt, inside roads are crushed stone and the site has a long concrete pad. Most sites are pull through and full hook up. This is a very nice park and clean. Each site has a table and a fire ring. The store has limited items, but Walmart is only 15 miles away. The cable TV is excellent, but the Wi-Fi is almost non existent. The pool and hot tub are clean and very neat. There is a nice dog walking park. The summer home of Franklin Roosevelt, where he died, is about 10 miles away. A very nice animal safari park is 3 miles away and Callaway Gardens is 5 miles away. We were quite satisfied with the park and would stay there again. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice RV Park. It has easy access to the Interstate and is close to the city of Paducah. The streets are asphalt and the sites are gravel. There are quite a few pull through sites. All the area is level. Wifi worked great; electric, water and sewer were fine. Cable TV was fine. There is a pool, but we did not use. The entire park was neat and the management was extremely nice. We would definitely stay there again. To us the sites were a little close, but doable. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Paducah water front is pretty. The city sits on the Ohio River and from the downtown water front you can see where the Tennessee River enters the Ohio. Not far away is the land between the lakes wild life area. There is a quilt museum in town and the flood wall downtown has murals on it. There is a branch campus of Murray State University in town.

North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills campground; that is no pool, no cable, or walking trails etc. The park is neat and clean. The roads and sites are gravel and level. The Wi-Fi works quite well. The manager was friendly and escorted us to our site. The electricity, water, and sewer hooks are fine. We felt safe and would be happy to stay at the park again. Don't miss Roosevelt NP about 30 miles away at Meador. We camped at North Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean and neat looking park. The roads and sites are gravel. There is ample room to drive the roads. The sites are a little close, but okay. No open fires are allowed. The manager was very friendly and helpful. This park is near the interstate with easy access. The cable, sewer, water, and electric hooks are fine. Like most parks the Wi-Fi is a bit iffy. We would stay again. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground, Kalispell, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We stayed a week in a 25ft TT. while touring area. The roads are asphalt, a little tight for big motorhomes. If you come in a motorhome ask to be put in a back lot space, much more room. The laundry is great, 9 washers and 9 dryers. The sites are crushed stone with patio and fire pit. Water, electric, sewer and cable are all great. The wifi is okay depending on how many people are using it. There is a nice playground for children and a small swimming pond. Glacier NP is about 30 miles away and going to the sun road is beautiful. We saw a grizzly from a safe distance. About an hour west is Libby, MT and the waterfall and rapids on the River is beautiful. The swinging bridge was fun, though it is expected to be replaced with an iron bridge in 2018.

Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 25 ft TT. The sites are very close. The roads and sites are all thin layer of gravel that allows mud to form in rain. The manager is very nice; the electric, water, and sewer work just fine. There is a table at each site and a small ring of rocks for a fire, but I would fear being too close to neighbor to light a fire. There a no trees among the sites. The location is safe and does okay for visiting Yellowstone NP and Cody, WY. I would look for a better park to stay in since this is average and the cost is high for what you get. If I could not get into a better park, I would stay here again. We camped at Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is 30 miles from East Gate at Yellowstone, NP. You can drive about one hour to Red Lodge, MT and drive the beautiful Beartooth Highway. The park is about 20 miles to Cody where you can see Buffalo Bill Cody Reservoir and tour dam. There is an old Frontier Town with buildings and wagons from the 1800's that have been relocated to the site. There is also the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum of the West.
