Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $6.00
Overall Rating:

If you love the outdoors...pine trees, fresh air, mountain views, friendly campers...this is the place for you. Nothing fancy, so if that's what you want go elsewhere. We loved it! It has a selection of areas to choose from, some more isolated than others. We took the first area near the clubhouse, great laundry room and restaurant. Restaurant is very convienent.. but just that..nothing special and over priced. Shopping is 5 min. away. Perfect anchor for visits to Sedona, Jerome, Old Town. Plenty to do! Or great place to " not do"! We camped at Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need 50amp you need to reserve ahead of time. These sites are limited. We parked in a 30amp for 2 nights and then moved. Being we were staying 2 weeks it was worth it.

Paradise RV Resort (55+ Resort), Sun City, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is primarily a park model resort that has rv sites intermittently spread around it...in between the permanent homes. The sites are level, concrete, and very spacious...but no picnic tables.

The office staff are very pleasant. The amenities are wonderful. Very clean, large laundry room. Beautiful pool. Just about every store imaginable within a 10 min drive. You won't have the usual "RV park ambience", but for a brief stay its great. We camped at Paradise RV Resort (55+ Resort) in a Motorhome.

Desert Sands RV Park, Phoenix, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in and pulled out. Sites way too close, many run down "full timers", just did not feel comfortable. We camped at Desert Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.
