Franklin RV Park & Campground, Franklin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We made arrangements over the phone earlier in the day that we stayed. The camp hosts could not have been nicer. They made the reservations for me over the phone earlier in the day and when we arrived late in the afternoon they were both there to welcome us and get us situated, even providing ice for our Happy Hour cocktails. Later in the evening we joined them at the camp pavilion where they had a nice fire in the fireplace and we relaxed with good conversation. This is a small, but outstanding campground, on a secondary highway which is quiet at night in the midst of beautiful mountain country. We camped at Franklin RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Soaring Eagle Campground & RV Park, Lenoir City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Bathrooms were not totally functional. Some urinals were blocked off for maintenance repair, so we had to walk some distance from our camper. The campsite along the lake was very small with barely room for a picnic table. The sites are close to Route 40, the sound of which does not go down much at night....trucks travel fast along this stretch. We reserved for two nights but abandoned the second night. We camped at Soaring Eagle Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The campsite is within reasonable distance (15 miles or so) of Oak Ridge where there is a wonderful energy museum and excellent history of the role that Oak Ridge played in the Manhattan Project of WWII.
