Marble Quarry RV Park, Columbia, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This park was average. Very quiet and peaceful, friendly staff. There was lots to see and do in the area. 30 amp was not adequate for required service. No maintenance was done during our entire stay, trash was overflowing, sites were not clean. With a little maintenance this could be a great park. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Camanche Resort - Miners Camp RV Park, Burson, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Miners Camp is 1 of 2 full hookups RV sites in Comanche Lake resort. We came in on Sunday of Memorial day weekend and had to book a minimum of 3 days. We made reservations over the phone and paid for the 3 days over the phone. When we arrived the attendant at the gate informed us we owed 30 dollars and I said no that we had prepaid. He said yes but there is a $5 a day charge for a dog and I had 2 small dogs. The employees at the gate entrance were friendly and courteous. The interior roads are paved and the sites seemed spacious enough and are paved about 15 feet in from the road and the rest is weeds. We were kind of in disbelieve from this point on. We had campsite 18 and literally had weeds waist high that were all over our site. All the short term campsites from 4 to 20 were vacant with waist high weeds. The electrical panel had thick cobwebs and black widow eggs with a live widow in it. The sewer hookup was elevated about 18 inches above ground which makes for some interesting drainage. The water was heavily chlorinated and smelled much like a swimming pool. There is no Wi-Fi or cell service . A very nice gentleman staying long term across the street I think felt sorry for us and had offered to let me use his lawn mower. Our little dachshunds did not like the tall weeds and we were concerned of fox tails going up their noses. We did not use our 3rd paid day; my wife's hay fever was acting up big time. A little maintenance would have gone a long way. The front office did offer to comp us one day. Needless to say I will not be back. We camped at Lake Camanche Resort - Miners Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Camanche is nearby with lots of tent camping sites scattered through out. I would advise using Monument rv section as it is much more isolated and has surrounding ponds. Monument rv section is in the same compound at Miners Camp and is owned and operated by the same resort.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have used this RV park many times in the last 10 years and have had good experience each time. Easy access off I-80 close to everything, fueling station and RV self wash 2 blocks away. Concrete pads and asphalt roads with desert motif surroundings on end caps and behind back ins. There are 3 dog runs in the RV park and if you have dogs they position you close to one the 3 dog runs. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly. The restrooms and showers are clean. If you check in during business hours you escorted to your site and given a short briefing. If arriving after hours with reservation your name is on a map and park rules is waiting for you on office door. If arriving after hours without reservation there are available sites posted near office door and highlighted map to site. The convenience of getting in out of this park is a snap. The pull through sites are a bit close to one another without much aesthetic value. I prefer the back in with my 30 foot RV but I don't think the back ins will accommodate much more than 30 foot trailer. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
