Wind River View Campground, Boulder, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Since manager works full time elsewhere, office is left open for checking in yourself. While on site, she was friendly and helpful. Many long term residents; most with fairly clean units. Lots of trash blown over the ground, plus dog poop. Cacti growing in some of the grassy areas, so watch where you walk. A German shepherd that runs the park is friendly with people, but not with little dogs. We camped at Wind River View Campground in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Meadows RV Park (Fort Hall Casino Campground), Fort Hall, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

When we called in advance to make reservations for one night, had to leave message and make second call before being able to complete reservation. Site was just barely long enough for our coach with tow; but still had to disconnect when leaving as road space was too short to make turns. Plan in disconnecting, as unable to exit with tow. We camped at Buffalo Meadows RV Park (Fort Hall Casino Campground) in a Motorhome.

Victorian Acres Campground, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This must be one of the nicest parks in which we have ever stayed. Clean, well kept, with plenty of space and grass. Rows were terraced with graveled roads and spaces. Each space had a flowering tree at the back with a big flower pot full of flowers in the front. Small trash receptacles spaced along each row, so no having to walk to main dumpster. Since we were there only a couple nights, chose a site without sewer hookup, which seemed to be the majority of the nicer sites on upper rows. Just wish they had had a dog park. We camped at Victorian Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Valley Inn Motel RV Park Club , McAlester, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Close to 69 highway, but signage makes it difficult to find entrance. Park was clean, with gravel roads and sites. Close to train track with frequent loud trains. Also close to airport with planes that cause interruption in TV signal. Inexpensive with Passport and Adequate for an overnight stay, but would have been willing to pay a little more for less noise. We camped at Valley Inn Motel RV Park Club in a Motorhome.

Shady Haven RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Please be advised, this park is in a bad area of town, although behind walls and locked gates, things can be stolen. Manager worked with us, but to no avail for replacing stolen bikes.

Sites were nicely paved and level. No grass. Wifi was fairly decent for tengonet.

Definitely will not return. We camped at Shady Haven RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sunny Meadows Campground, Elm Creek, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Many of the diagonal sites were too short for our motorhome keeping tow attached, but we did find a few, as we just needed an overnight. Good for one night, as very close to major highway; lots of highway noise. Payment is drop box only. Passport America for $15 charge, with an added $5 fee.
Some of the long termers needed to clean up their trash around campers, which wind had blown around. Convenient, but absolutely nothing special. We camped at Sunny Meadows Campground in a Motorhome.

Cherokee Campground, Blacksburg, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park because it was close to Gaffney, SC and the Freightliner factory service, as well as being a Passport America discount. Extra charge for electricity according to usage, which was a lot due to summer heat. Extra 9% charge for credit card payments. Park was mostly for long term campers. Owner on site in a camper, himself, friendly and helpful. Park was clean and spacious, but had no facilities. Wi fi was good. Will return if Freightliner service is needed again. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Motorhome.

Big Oak RV Park, Tallapoosa, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park for an overnight because it was so close to our route and inexpensive, but the roads were narrow and steep; steep enough our braking system in the towed locked up; overnight pull through was just barely big enough for our motorhome and tow; parked right next to a fairly busy highway with fast traffic. Park was clean and well kept. Our site for the motorhome was level. Would be a good place for a smaller RV. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Greenville Farm Family Campground, Haymarket, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park because it was close to DC and not very expensive; no discounts were offered, even staying a full week; located on their family farm; Nice and quiet, with lots of places to walk the dogs and many older campsites way back in the wooded area. Roads and sites were mostly gravel; sites were not very level. The pool was clean and uncrowded, but not accessible unless office/store was open, which wasn't always the times posted. We stayed in a motorhome. We camped at Greenville Farm Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Hidden Valley RV Park, Von Ormy, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We had plenty of room for our 40 ft motorhome, with plenty of grassy yard area, but getting to and from, required driving almost a mile on very rough, dusty, dirt road. It was close to the interstate highway and an easy drive to downtown San Antonio. Owners were very cordial. No extra amenities such as swimming pool or organized park activities. Will not return. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort), Pumpkin, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice and quiet, except for the fast traffic on highway 1/4 mile away. Yes, several long term campers, but area kept clean. Manager very friendly; provided us with a paved site for our motorhome, when most sites were gravel. Big, huge grassy yard all the way around sites. Swimming pool was kept running and clean, even if too cold for our use. Park is close to state forest for lots of recreational activities, but not real close to big towns to do much shopping. We camped at Hillcrest RV Park (formerly Timber Lodge Resort) in a Motorhome.

Crystal Lake Campground (formerly Crystal Lake RV Resort), Lodi, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park had lots of places for children to play, in and out of the water, but for 'retired' adults traveling through, I would not recommend it. Long pull through sites were not very level gravel. Office was located almost a mile from the entrance, on winding roads through lots of permanent campers, which was what the camp consisted of mostly. Only two showers, located 1/2 mile walk from our camp site; Outside porta pots were our closest provided toilets. We camped at Crystal Lake Campground (formerly Crystal Lake RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Emporia RV Park, Emporia, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Good for one night, being close to major highway, especially if you can run AC/fan to drown out the noise from two highways and lots of trains. Staff was only on site a few hours a day. Considerable amount of trash laying on ground, but we stayed shortly after a good rain/wind storm, so everything was quite wet. Probably would not return.
