Beautiful, spacious site on Tuttle Creek Lake. Easy access to LS loop. Long back- in site #13 had plenty of length and width. Good separation from neighbors. We camped at Tuttle Creek Cove COE in a Motorhome.

Pecan Grove RV Park, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park on the south side of the river is very handy to touring downtown Austin and has easy access to the river trails. We like to walk and were able to access many places on foot. The park itself was tough to get to in our 40' motorhome towing a full-sized pickup. Although we had a decent pull through space we could not negotiate the turn into the site without unhooking. The aisle to our site was overhung with a very low power line, which had to be lifted (by the very helpful park manager) so that we could pass! We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are lots of things to do in Austin. Visit the capitol building and the LBJ Library. See the bats depart the Congress Ave Bridge. Visit the many amazing restaurants. We particularly enjoyed "Moonshine Patio Bar and Grill". Drive out to Lake Travis and have lunch at "Oasis Brewing Company". St. Martin's Lutheran Church in downtown was a beautiful old church and very friendly.

Airport Park COE, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very spacious site with plenty of room for our bus and pickup. When we pulled in we were concerned about an old oak tree over-hanging our site but the park rangers came right over and removed the offending limb, at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon! We had lovely views of Lake Waco without being right on the water and all the camper noise an on the water site would have provided. We were within easy driving distance of the local attractions and would stay here again in a heartbeat! We camped at Airport Park COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

When visiting Waco be sure to visit the Magnolia Silos. It was interesting to see although a bit of a "zoo" with the crowds! Be sure to visit the Dr. Pepper Museum nearby. We walked through Baylor University...a beautiful campus. We enjoyed the Texas Ranger Museum. We loved lunch at the Heritage Homestead, north of Waco. We loved St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Balcones Distillery was interesting to visit.

Fernbrook RV Park, Longview, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a "10-10-10" park but it was unclear what the amazing amenities were! The site was adequate in length for our 40' motorhome and full-sized pickup but certainly not spaciously wide. We had no tree cover, no fire pit, an old picnic table, and no patio. We did have daily trash pick-up. We camped at Fernbrook RV Park in a Motorhome.

We chose this park to be within driving distance of the several towns in the area in which to explore: Kilgore and the East Texas Oil Museum, Tyler and the Azalea Tour, Jefferson and the Big Cypress Bayou tour and Kat's Kornbread Korner, and Longview and the LeTourneau University and Museum and First Lutheran church.

Hot Springs National Park KOA, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in site L-4 in our 40' motorhome. The park is hilly and a challenge to navigate on the very narrow single lane roads. Even though we had a pull through site we unhooked our full-sized pickup before trying to negotiate the roads. At the office, it was a challenge to unhook since we weren't able to park on the flat or pull ahead adequately to align the bus and the tow. Our site was just wide enough to put out our slides. We could not use our outdoor TV since there wasn't enough room to place our chairs. The provided picnic table was unusable for the same reason and certainly couldn't use the fire pit! Digital cable channels are supposedly available but we couldn't find the local stations! The wifi bounces in and out even though we simply tried to read our email and post to this site. The CG is relatively close to Hot Springs. We will not stay here again. We camped at Hot Springs National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

South Llano River RV Park & Resort, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This was an easy overnight stop off I-10. Our pull thru site allowed us to leave our full size PU under tow. Roads in park are a dirt and gravel combo...it would be a mess here in the rain! Scant grass at the sites, which had no table, fire ring, etc. the campground was quiet and right on the river. The utilities were easily accessible and worked well. The cable TV was better than most. We walked into town and had great burgers at Paddlers Porch. We would stay here again. We camped at South Llano River State Park in a Motorhome. American Heritage Campground, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is an RV park in the trees and should not be advertised as "Big Rig accessible". Our 40' motorhome could barely manage to navigate the asphalt road through the trees to a call field where we could park. We had 30 amp service only and parked on grassy gravel. We could neither use our OTA antenna or our DirecTV due to the trees around us. The gentleman on a bike who guided us to our site was bossy and rude. He was irate that we could not follow his bike route through the asphalt trail exactly, even though we were almost 13' tall and 40' long. We will never stay here again. We camped at American Heritage Campground in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Resort, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is an excellent stop when traveling through Oregon on I-5. The sites are adequate with lots of grass. The park, located in a creek canyon, is beautiful, and offers walking and biking paths. Worth the stop. Be aware that sites 95 through 104 back up on the creek, are oriented for afternoon shade from your awning and are nice and quiet. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Coyote Valley RV Resort, Morgan Hill, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is convenient to San Jose and offers reasonable services. However, it is expensive, the sites are very small and the park has many long term residents. We chose a premium site for our 40' motor home and full sized pick up and barely had room to park both. We could not put out our awning because of a very close tree. The common facilities are very nice and they do offer garbage pickup at the site. We camped at Coyote Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Needles KOA, Needles, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was an over night stop and we didn't expect a lavish site. We did expect our site to be a pull through but it was too short to allow us to keep the tow attached. The site was dirt. Minimal vegetation. Certainly not what we expect from a KOS. Should we need a stop in Needles again we will try the Desert View RV Resort next door. We camped at Needles KOA in a Motorhome.

Galesburg East Campground, Knoxville, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite campgrounds in Illinois. We grew up in the area so it's close to family and friends. The sites, while gravel, are long enough to accommodate our 40' coach and tow. The sites are under tall shade trees and in the summer are cooling and rustling. The sites have full hook ups including 50-amp service. The park owner is welcoming, fun to talk with, and works diligently to make his guests comfortable. I gave our site a four-star rating since it was gravel not cement. Owl's Nest Campground, Junction City, Kansas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We needed an overnight stop near Manhattan, KS, to visit friends and chose this campground based on previous recommendations. When I called to make reservations, I told the campground attendant that we were a 40' motorhome towing a full-sized pickup, and wanted to be sure that this campground could accommodate us. No problem, I was told! Imagine our surprise when we pulled into this teeny place and could barely negotiate the fairways with our pickup unhooked! We were in site 11, right next to the road, and got to hear the early morning workers headed to their jobs. I-40, indeed, was only 1/2 mile away, adding to the noise. Yes, they do have cable, but we needed a "box" to access their service. Rather out-dated. We will never stay here again. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Bob's RV Park, Lawton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The entry into the park was a challenge for a 40' RV towing a full-sized pickup. If anyone had been parked in front of the office we would not have been able to make the turn. No one was in the office at 2 PM when we arrived and had to call the posted phone number. Someone came about 5 minutes after I spoke with him, along with his three dogs who tried to enter our coach. The site was adequate for a 2-night stop. He did indicate that the washers and dryers were free, but we did not verify this. We camped at Buffalo Bob's RV Park in a Motorhome.
