Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is over priced for the service as staff and workers were rude. Site was gravel and not level. Excellent bathrooms and showers. Excellent Wi-Fi and cable. Hershey park was about 20 miles away but they run shuttle 2 times a day providing you sign up and pay the night before. Pool was crowded for the amount of sites and people . We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Motorhome.

Chincoteague Island KOA (formerly Maddox Family Campground), Chincoteague, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Good that its a KOA but they still need to make a lot of improvements. They pack The Campers in like sardines. For the price my site was shells and sand and very unlevel. Every time we went in the motorhome sand was tracked in. Same with the new showers they have put in place full of sand and dirt. Noticed them clean the restrooms and they was more dirt after the cleaning then before. People constantly riding golf carts creating a ton of dust as the 10 mph speed limit is not enforced, this includes the employees. Cars and people cutting thru sites all the time. Need a road for the people in tent section across A sites to go to restrooms ,suggest sites A10 or A11 for this. Watch out for Young kids riding push carts after dark with no lights.Cable and Wi-Fi was spotty depending on time of day. If they take suggestions for more improvements like paving roads and less sites as well as a new restroom for tents campers then it could become a top notch campground. We camped at Chincoteague Island KOA (formerly Maddox Family Campground) in a Motorhome.

Waynesboro North 340 Campground, Waynesboro, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Good for an overnight stay. Lot of seasonal campers . Sites are gravel and not level. No cable and limited over the air stations. Bathrooms and showers appear clean although we did not use. Wi-Fi comes and goes based on amount of people using. Lot of golf carts cruising at night. Some sites have new electric hook-ups but other don't. Plugged in to our 30 amp service and kept losing power due to spikes. Ended up hooking to 50 amps. We camped at Waynesboro North 340 Campground in a Motorhome.

Big Meadows Campground (NPS Campground), Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Not much to say except that if you want to get back to nature and the basics this is the place. No hook-ups , no Wi-Fi , no cable but plenty of peace and quiet. Very relaxing and refreshing from the daily hustle and bustle. Clean restrooms and showers. Some OTA television if you have a battery and inverter. Saw plenty of deer and bears and plenty of trails to hike. Sites are not very level and could use some gravel. Ours was a pull thru that was plenty long and wide. They do have a dump station about 1/2 mile from campground on the way out. Easy check in and out. We camped at Big Meadows Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Westmoreland State Park, Montross, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean older state park. No Wi-Fi or cable. Some Local Channels. Only water and electric. No sewer but very small dump station. Had to wait on road to dump. Showers had mold in them. Some sites very small and tight. A lot of tent sites that are bigger then the RV sites. We camped at Westmoreland State Park in a Motorhome.

Willow Tree Resort and Campground, Longs, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Not much to add to previous reviews as this is the best resort that we have ever stayed in. Long pull thru sites that have plenty of space between. Excellent Wi-Fi , clean showers and bathrooms , plenty of activities to do, huge laundry area, and store located in main office. Highly recommend if in Myrtle Beach area. A little off of the path in Longs, SC but well worth it. We camped at Willow Tree Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Walkabout Camp & RV Park, Woodbine, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Could not find anything good to say. Called and made reservations thinking the campground was Passport America after reading reviews but once we was there was told the PA discount was limited. Ok we still wanted the site. Lady in office checked us in and told us where to go. Pulled in site and was looking at neighbor's awning touching my slide out and old picnic table on top of next camper water, sewer, and electric. Site was very tight. Electric box only had an 0ld 30 Amp hook up. Sewer top broken. No cable and Wi-Fi. Water had a sulfur smell to it. Went to bathrooms and showers and they were filthy dirty . Heard I95 traffic all night long. This campground had a lot of permanent and snowbirds and they have stuff everywhere. Like my wife said, this campground needs some TLC on the grounds not owners clubhouse. I would not even recommend for an overnighter. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Campground, Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good for an overnighter as this is an old campground. Sites are dirt and sand and not very level. Bathrooms and showers clean but old. Did not use Wi-Fi and no cable. Could not fit in 1st site assigned and had to move to another for a tree. Roads are very narrow and full of pot holes. We camped at Santee Lakes Campground in a Motorhome.

Cherrystone Family Camping & RV Resort, Cape Charles, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Overall the campground was satisfactory. Site was waterfront and the view was excellent. Site could use some gravel as it rained when we first got there and site was wet and muddy the whole week .Big problem with Fruit Flies so I would not recommend you go here in late September and early October. Bathrooms was clean and Wi-Fi was nonexistent. No cable but plenty of local channels. We camped at Cherrystone Family Camping & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Summer Wind R.V. Park, Dawson, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small, quiet campground right off the interstate 64. Excellent for an overnighter. Restrooms and showers were clean but old. No cable but you have local channels. Suggest you call ahead of time for reservations as it only has 10 full service sites and they appear to fill up early. Service checking in was outstanding as this is only the second campground that the manager meet us and showed us the site before we paid for later, that we have stay at. Highly recommend this little jewel of a campground. We camped at Summer Wind R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

Lebanon/Cincinnati NE KOA (formerly Cedarbrook Campground), Lebanon, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Older campground with gravel roads and sites. Our site was not very level and could use some gravel. Good water and electric as well as cable. No Wi-Fi unless you pay extra, only hotspot at office which was not very good. Plenty of shade and back to back sites. Good for an overnighter. Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground, Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $109.00
Overall Rating:

A 1st class campground that puts you right next to the theme park. Excellent bathrooms and showers. Good Wi-Fi and cable. Shuttle service to park could be a little better based on crowds. Privacy at camp site that are spaced just right. Only downfalls is the customer service could be better and somehow controlling the birds and spiders that seems to be everywhere and sites. Recommend this campground for anyone going to the theme park. We camped at Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground in a Motorhome.

Friendship Village Campground , Bedford, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground that has plenty of activities for the family. Restrooms and showers clean but old. Appears to be a lot of seasonal campers. Sites are gravel and fairly level. Cable and Wi-Fi typical of large campgrounds. Good for an overnighter. Services at store could be better as the young ladies seem to be confused on prices and sites. We camped at Friendship Village Campground in a Motorhome.
