Walnut Grove RV Park, Merriam, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Park is small, but adequate and close to our choice of eatery. The employee who served us was very accommodating, polite and cheerful. There are both shaded and and open sites. Although the park is older, we would gladly stay again as the facilities and park are just fine for a night or two. We camped at Walnut Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Woodyard bbq, just a few miles down Merriam Ln has the best smoked/bbq meat we've EVER eaten. The St. Louis ribs, burnt end sandwich and smoked turkey can't be beat!

Camp Journey's End RV Park, Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Camp Journey's End many times over the years not only because of its proximity to The Shed BBQ, but because it was a lovely campground. This is no longer true! It is about one third the size it was before and except for some full-time residents, the place looks abandoned. The ads on the internet claim they have wifi, cable, showers and bathrooms. The wifi is marginal, cable is nonexistent and the one shower is so nasty I wouldn't bathe my dog in it. There are two toilets (unisex) where I killed a large cockroach one morning. The place is horrible - the worst by far of any campground we ever had the misfortune to visit. Get your Shedhead on, but stay ANY place else in the area. We camped at Camp Journey's End RV Park in a Motorhome.
