Whispering Oaks RV Resort, Greenville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small campground near Greenville, NC. We stay here when visiting our son at East Carolina University. This was our 4th trip staying at the campground. It is on the same property as Bradford Creek Coach and RV Center. There are probably about ten sites total. Most are around a stocked pond. Most are also under large oak trees - well kept so no issues with the height of the RV.

The staff was very friendly, showed us to our site and made sure we were all setup on each trip. Some campers appeared to be long term and some weekend or similar visitors. Campground was fairly quiet with little activity, but those campers we saw outside were friendly.

It is a perfect location and a great place for a weekend visit or getaway. It is not the place to go to for things to do at the campground other than fishing. We camped at Whispering Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bullocksville - Kerr Lake SRA, Henderson, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first experience in our new 36' motorhome and our first experience with NC State Parks. We would highly recommend the campground and plan on staying there again soon.

There was plenty of room to back our rig into our lake front site.

Restroom was clean.

We had some shade but the site we were on gets a good amount of sun in the evenings from across the lake.

No issues with the electric but we did have to use 50' of hose to get to the water hookup.

Covered trash can on the site and they picked up each day.

Neighbors were friendly and quiet.

We enjoyed watching the boats on the lake since we weren't having much luck fishing.

We had six adults (19-87) and three small dogs with us and everyone seemed to enjoy the weekend at the lake. Looking forward to our next visit in July. We camped at Bullocksville - Kerr Lake SRA in a Motorhome.
