This is one crummy place. As other reviewers mentioned, it is right next to two porn stores, which doesn't really bother me, but it could offend others. The actual campground is tight and the roads are in a state of advanced disrepair. To call this place a 5 star resort is simply a flat-out lie. The "rack rate" is $50 a night, but there are many ways to get discounts, including a "buy 2 get 1 night free" promotion. Even at $33 a night, this campground is way over-priced. We wanted to be as close to downtown as possible, but since there is always traffic on the feeder roads to I-35, you are not really benefitting from this proximity. Avoid this place at all costs!

If I could give this place an 11, I would!! Simply the best private campground we have stayed in. The sites are beautifully manicured and feel very private. We got a jacuzzi site for $30 a night which was a great bargain. Even the restaurant lived up to their billing of "fabulous food" (the chicken pot pie is yum!!) The staff was helpful, courteous, and very friendly. As other reviewers mentioned, you really do feel like you are at a resort. Why can't all campgrounds be this good?
