Lincoln / Woodstock KOA, Woodstock, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 days visiting the White Mountains recently. Very nice campground, great owners, clean, well organized and conveniently located off Rt 93 just a 10-12 minute drive to Lincoln and a lot of the action on the S Franconia side of the White Mtns. would definitely stay here again next trip up and would highly recommend it to those visiting this neck of the woods in the White Mountains. We camped at Lincoln / Woodstock KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

so many things to do on the Franconia side of the White Mountains on Rt 3. we had an EXCELLENT pancake breakfast at Polly's Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill (next to Franconia) about a 30 minute drive up rt 3 and a nice drive. if you LIKE pancakes this is the place to be - our third time there. busy place so go early and they DO have call ahead seating which we used and I'd recommend

Stateline Campresort & Cabins, East Killingly, Connecticut

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here last summer with the grandkids when we had to camp fairly close to home and it worked out great. there was a lot going on for the kids that weekend and for the adults with live bands throughout the weekend. it was a very hot weekend in the 90s and they did lose power but everybody in the park was running their air conditioners and they had the power company out to fix the problem within a couple hours. The campground is very clean, kinda on the rustic side but still very nice, sites are a little small like a lot of CGs are but there was adequate room for our 31' Class C. They served breakfast Sunday morning for a reasonable price; we did not partake because we had the kids. Staff was very friendly and helpful, restrooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anybody visiting or passing through the area We camped at Stateline Campresort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Kind of isolated out on the Ct/RI line but Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun is down the road less than on half hour, Mystic is not far away, and Zips Diner 15 minutes down the road in Killingly (right off the highway) has superb breakfasts real diner style for those who prefer eating breakfast out

Fantasy Island Campground, Sunbury, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

we stayed at Fantasy Island Campground for one night on our last night on the way home from Yellowstone Park. very nice campground right on the river (seasonal sites had the river sites) - travelers had the sites in the middle of the CG. owner was very nice, restrooms were clean, was a little tricky getting into the CG but a road right beside the CG heading south, there was another entrance which was a much easier access - a little rough getting around inside but we took it slow and easy and it wasn't a problem owner has only had business for a few years but has made many improvements including new 30 and 50 amp electrical outlets. cable had about 15 stations. would recommend this CG for anybody passing through the area via rt 80 and would definitely stay here again when passing through. we paid $20 on a Thursday night with Passport America - we camped in a MH. Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

it's hard to call a campground "beautiful" but this campground certainly was that. we been RVing for 2 years have probably stayed at 4 dozen CGs and this is by far the best we have seen yet. hard to see how anybody would give it a thumbs down. we stayed here 2 nights and went to see Little Big Horn Battlefield National Park which was great. RV sites were 90% full and this was early May AND during the week. that tells you something. exceptionally clean campground, the very first KOA and they hold up their standards to the highest level. friendly folks at the desk, sites were a little close together but not that bad. we had a premium site because the others were sold out and moved the 2nd night as we didn't have reservations but it wasn't a problem as we were still hitched the first night the only knock if I had one is the wifi was lacking as they use the Tangent Wifi which is not good at all and very limited but cable t-v was excellent would definitely recommend this CG to anyone passing through and would stay here again and may do so on the way home. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

We went to Little Big Horn National Park 50 miles east and is a great place to see even if you're just a little bit of a history buff. we had the Senior Pass so we got it for free but I think it was $20 which is still a bargain. spent a good 2 hors plus there, may paths to hike and walk and a 5 mile road to drive through with plenty of info along the way

we stayed here for 2 nights touring Custer State Park and surroundings. this is an excellent campground right off the highway, very clean, well maintained CG, friendly owners - very accommodating, restrooms are clean, free showers, we bought propane gas for MH at a very reasonable price - price reflects Passport America discount - will most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area. Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for 10 days in October at the end of our Blue Ridge Mtns, Skyline Drive, and Smokey Mtns tour. we stayed an extra week to see the whole town along with Severville and Gatlinburg light for Christmas. Campground was right in the middle of the action of Pigeon Forge. a side road with motels in-between buffered out all the noise from the main road

Campground was clean, friendly hosts, lots of amenities, family friendly, nice pool and hot tub and a trampoline for kids, great proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. beautiful Patriots park sits right next door with a half mile walking track we used every day with a great display of Christmas lights to look out on every night. we had a site near the river which was shady and with ample space and geese and ducks to feed every morning.

Old Mill Restaurant right next door also was a great place to eat, very busy and the historic Old Mill area was a nice place to walk through and browse through the shops but hide the credit cards from the wife l o l

wi-fi and cable were both good

we camped here in a 31' Class C MH. would definitely recommend it and would stay here again when the area. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Foothills RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

10 10 10 all around! people should not pass on the smaller campgrounds just because they're small. this is a excellent basic no frills campground with 37 sites sitting right on the edge of Pigeon Forge making for good proximity to Gatlinburg and "downtown" Pigeon Forge. campground appears to be new or just re-done with exceptionally clean grounds and air conditioned bath house with music, free showers, no touch faucets in sinks, etc. all camp sites are paved and level with amply space and lighted electrical, water, and cable outlets for those coming late at night. wi-fi and cable was excellent. we did see a couple of 38' rigs while we were there. camp hosts are very friendly and accommodating. good things come in small packages and we'd DEFINITELY stay here again. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

French Broad River Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A little hidden rustic gem right on the French Broad River with great proximity to Asheville. It was recommended to me by a friend on a F/B RV page and I'm so glad we took it. The campground sets right ON the river. It's a little tough getting in and out, narrow driveway but manageable for our 31' Class C rig. I wouldn't recommend it for anything larger. Sites were a little close but not too bad. They sat on cement so they were level. The ducks floating by are a plus, a train goes by occasionally across the river, kids beside us got a big kick out of it. Owner was a friendly guy. I called early in the day and he said he has one spot left and would save it for me which he did. Not the Taj Mahal by any means but a nice little basic campground, not your typical cookie cutter type you see in most places. We would stay here again if in the area. give it a try. We camped at French Broad River Campground in a Motorhome.

Old Mill Stream Campground, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for 4 nights. Wweren'te switched sites to a site on the river after the weekend crowd left. beautiful site with a working Amish farm right across the river. very nice campground right next to Dutch Wonderland amusement park. sites are kinda close together but with ample room. you're not rubbing elbows with your neighbor. they say there's cable but we were not able to hook up on either of the two sites we were on. we used the antenna and was able to receive bout 15 stations with Philly being right down the road. wifi was excellent on both our sites. would definitely recommend it and would stay here again. great proximity to the Amish country. Bras D'Or Lakes Campground, Baddeck, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A nice campgrpund right on the main road and Bras D'Or Lake, and a great campground for exploring the Cabot Trail and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we had a pull-through site which was $8 more than the back-ins and closer to the water. She said there was great wifi on every site and ours was certainly that.

The campground was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, a maintenance man was working the grounds. I would stay at this campground again if in the area. We camped at Bras D'Or Lakes Campground in a Motorhome.

Hemlock Grove Campground, Arundel, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is the 2nd time we stayed at Hemlock Grove Campground. It is located just north of Kennybunk on Rt 1 and away from all the hustle/bustle of Ogonquit and Wells but with good location to points north and south

The campground was exceptionally clean as well as the restrooms and showers. They have a store with all the essentials. The owners were very friendly and provided information and directions to us on seeing lighthouses and beaches in the area.

The campground itself is basic but very nicely laid out. Excellent WiFi and cable. The sites are mostly wooded and ample room for each and every site. There are some permanent sites but the majority sites are for campers traveling in and through the area

There is no pool but the seashore is a 10 minute drive away with plenty of beaches to be had and lobstaaah shacks and seafood restaurants galore. There is a basic playground for the kids. They offer comedy shows on some weekends in their closed pavilion, which I thought was pretty darn cool

Interior roads were hard packed, wide enough, and easy to negotiate. There is a slight road noise but our site was towards the front and most of the noise was filtered out by the trees so it was not a big problem. We heard no noise inside our 31' motorhome. We most would definitely come back here again when in or passing through the area. We camped at Hemlock Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+), Intercourse, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night on the way home from Washington DC. Very nice small campground with good access and within walking distance to the village of intercourse. The campground sits on a hill overlooking a working Amish farm across the road. The service was great, very nice people, reasonable rates, very clean facilities. We were sitting by the fire at dusk when the amish people passed by on their buggies not 20 feet away and gave you a nod, a smile, and a wave as they passed by.

We were in the upper section with our 31' motor home. There was some shade on our site. The sites were tight as stated in previous reviews but doable. I would most definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area and would stay here again if we were to return. We camped at Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+) in a Motorhome.

Niagara Falls KOA, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Niagara Falls. I wasn't a big fan of KOA parks but chose this one because of it's proximity to the Falls. I was impressed by it's cleanliness and organization of the park. The price was a little high I thought for off season. The staff was friendly, the store well stocked, restrooms and showers were very clean.

The sites where we were were small and we were doubled up back to back with another motor home. We camped at Niagara Falls KOA in a Motorhome.
