Riverview RV Park, Lake Ozark, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Older park but very close to the highway making very easy off/on access to get out & see the sights around Lake of the Ozarks. Sites are fairly level gravel with some pull thru. Swimming pool on site. Fishing pond and access to Osage River on site. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Propane refill available on site. We forgot to ask for Good Sam discount. 4th of July weekend and the park was full one night but still very well behaved kids & adults. Our only complaint would be with the wi-fi. They had a good signal but due to the large number of people it was hard to get a connection and if you did--it was very slow. Cable television is analog Dish Network signal which faded in & out at times mostly due to rain. Batwing antenna only picked up one local (PBS) channel due to the low area and surrounding hills. We will check out other area parks on our next trip but this one was worth a return and the easy in/out access is a definite bonus for a riverfront park. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Springs Ranch, Bourbon, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park next to Conservation property. River access is easy from the park or the Conservation property by foot or boat trailer. Wooded and open areas, fishing pond, zip line, horse rides on property. Also a swimming pool, camp store, winter RV storage. Very peaceful setting. Down sides were many sites were smallish, gravel road access, no cell service and no local television reception. We camped at Blue Springs Ranch in a Motorhome.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Kaiser, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, large park located on the Lake of the Ozarks. The sites do not have full hookups but a dump station and fresh water are available. The pads are mostly asphalt although many were concrete. Some of the primitive sites were lightly graveled. Most sites are heavily shaded and fairly level.

Cell service was good at our spot (#37) but friends staying down next to the lake had no service. Television reception will also depend on the range of your antenna, altitude and trees.

The size of the lots is huge. They are well planned out and offer a large buffer zone between sites. The handicapped spots were very level, scenic and concrete paved.

In addition to camping, there are trails to hike, a boat ramp, horse rides and both covered and open picnic areas.

We had never been to this park before and were very impressed. There are a few state parks near our home and they are nice but do not offer nearly as many amenities as Lake of the Ozarks State Park. We camped at Lake of the Ozarks State Park in a Motorhome.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty park on the edge of town. Very level gravel spots with plenty of neatly trimmed trees. Cable included which was a neat bonus for us. There is a little general store & camping supply on site and a Dollar General across the street. Restaurants are a short bicycle ride away or a long walk on a straight level street which is surprising in the mountainous area. Call ahead & they will tape a map to your spot on the door with your name on it if you arrive after the office closes. I believe I saw honor system/overnight parking but we had a reservation so I'm not sure. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Interstate Campground & RV Center, Byron, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park located very close to I-75. We only needed an over-night spot so didn't stay long enough to meet any of the longer term residents or park employees. It was well kept and spaces were nicely portioned. Our only problem was the hookups were on the wrong side for our Class A but after parking "backward", they worked just fine so no complaints. It's not a "resort" campground but I didn't expect it to be for $25. They offer hospitality/honor system overnight parking which is exactly what we needed. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Motorhome.
