Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Although the sites for small campers/tents were mostly empty we were put in probably the most unlevel site they have. The wifi was decent for a campground but that might have to do with lack of users. The office closes at 5:00, not very convenient when you are off touristing all day. If I had it to do over again I would not stay here again. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes in a Tent.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Good Sam park but they do not honor it for tents. They have tent sites all along the edge, but we were the only ones in a tent. Otherwise it looked like you would be very close to your neighbors. The restroom facilities were clean and adequate. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Tent.

Pioneer Park, Torrington, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice little park and you can't beat the price, but we had site number 7 and I wouldn't take it again because the electric plug in didn't work and it is right under a light post (hard to sleep in a tent). The other not good thing was the faucet in the ladies rest room didn't have a handle so you need to take a pliers with you to turn it. We camped at Pioneer Park in a Tent.

Nice pool, wifi not good, nice easy pull thru close to interstate but not much noise. Not good privacy in bathroom area. Nice owners, we would stay again. We camped at Hill's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park, nice friendly staff. Showers could be better for privacy and no full hook-ups are the only downsides. We would stay again. We camped at Hitchcock Nature Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Northside RV Ranch and Camp, Seymour, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it is a Passport America park, they advertise showers and restroom but the owner told us they were not available at the time we were there. They have Wi-Fi but it is mostly unusable. No shade. It is a quiet place to spend the night so we would stay again if in the area. We camped at Northside RV Ranch and Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

TranQuil Garden RV Park, Salado, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

There aren't many other options in the area so we would stay again but the rest room/shower area needs a good cleaning. The hours of 9-9 for access are not convenient, the owner should invest in a combination lock so you could use the facilities when needed. It is pretty quiet at night, a few people living there leave early morning so a little noise then but not bad. We camped at TranQuil Garden RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Salado is an interesting little town to poke around. The glass works and nearby college ruins were a nice diversion for us.

Wifi was like most campgrounds. Fairly quiet. Gravel parking lot, level, easy in and out. Restrooms are falling apart but clean. Good for an overnight stay, we would stop here again. We camped at A Deming Roadrunner RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park, all services work well. Descent WiFi, nice restroom, shower, and laundry. Pool not heated and the train blowing its whistle in the night were the only negatives. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is kind of far from anything. Neighborhood Walmart is about 4 miles away. Nice fruit and nut place within walking distance.

Pinnacles Campground, Pinnacles National Park, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We had the senior rate otherwise it is overpriced. Pool was closed for the season even though it was still very hot there. Women's shower was closed when we were there. There is no reception for anything there. We camped at Pinnacles Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Redwood Empire Fairgrounds, Ukiah, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The sign for the place isn't the best; it was past where you turn so watch carefully. Easy on/off the freeway, lots of places to eat close by. Nothing going on at the fairgrounds so nice and quiet when we were there. We would stay here again. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Redwood Acres Fairgrounds, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Their information states no campers older then 2005, but I'm sure several of the ones there were substantially older than that. Most of the people live there full time. Sites are very close together and there is only one electrical box for two sites with only one 30 and one 50 amp plug in so check before setting up to make sure what you need isn't being used already. The camp host was never around. I wouldn't stay there again. We camped at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We went to the zoo half price day, small but enjoyable wouldn't pay full price though. Old town wasn't very interesting except the big old mansions.

Lewis and Clark Recreation Area, Yankton, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week here. They have a wonderful bike path and a challenging 18 hole disc golf course. It is busy on the weekends but very quiet during the week. There are no water or sewer hookups but you can fill up with water at the entrance where the dump station is. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lewis and Clark Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Horseshoe Casino RV Park, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night over Memorial Day weekend. The price is supposed to be $30 a night but the guard said since it was Memorial Day weekend the price was $40, what a rip off! If there was anyplace else available we would have moved on. They had plenty of spots available, just your basic parking lot just off the interstate so some highway noise. We would not stop again unless extremely desperate. We camped at Horseshoe Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
