Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Fall City, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Peaceful with gorgeous tall trees. Each site was pretty private. Site a little unlevel, nice picnic table and fire pit although because of fire danger, unable to use. Pool and spa closed as late in the season. The park help extremely nice. Wish we could have stayed longer. A bit of a drive to get there, but close to Snoqualmie Falls. We had satellite reception. This is a thousand trails park, and we are not members, but were welcomed. We camped at Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice park. Clean, great dog walk. We were just here one night, but easy access to the park, and to a grizzly bear preserve. Our space was a backin but very easy to get in. Our slide our decided not to work just as we were getting ready to leave. Even though they were booked up, they told us not to worry we could stay tell it was fixed. I phoned Tiffin and they fixed it over the phone. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Glacier Pines RV Park, Kalispell, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived the office was closed, but someone showed us to our site. We were told when I made our reservation That we would be able to use our Satellite TV. This was not true. We had no tv while we were there. The park is very run down, right off a busy road, road noise all day and night. Most of the park was live aboard, Very shady looking bunch, their RV looked very run down. We were told we were very close to glacier national Park, which was not the case, 25 miles from the park. I would no Recommend this park. We camped at Glacier Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

When we first pulled in I wasn't quite sure. Our site was very large, walking around the park, we found about 25% live aboards. But they kept their spaces clean. Which was nice for once. This park is close to all attraction. We only heard one train at night, road noise was minimal. We stayed here 3 days. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived it looked like a very nice park. We had a pull thru very tight to get into. Once we were settled everything was fine. 50 amps water cable, but the sewer was at the very end of the site. My 25 ft Sewer hose almost didn't fitn sewer hose almost didn't fit. We walked around the park, what a disappointment. It appeared that the park was mainly live aboards. Most of the spaces were cluttered with cars, propane bottles, insulation, taped on to the RVs. I would not recommend this park anyone. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Vines RV Resort, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

Hwy 101 is just outside the park; the sites we were in had hardly any noise, but other sites are noisy. Very friendly camp hosts, will help with all your needs.

Dog parks are at far end of the park (very long walk); would be nice to have a dog park up front.

The pool was heated and hot tub was clean. They have a barbeque on a patio near the pool that you can use, plus on these patios there were fire pits and they supplied the wood.

Very nice park, but a little expensive. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hollywood RV Park(formerly Balboa RV Park), Van Nuys, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

At first glance you're thinking what did I get into. But the owner was very helpful, they took you to your site and helped you back in, they had someone hook you up so I didn't have to do anything. The sites were tight but I have a 40 ft motorhone with 4 slides. I had a picnic table and a nice concrete patio. We had fake grass on both sides and rose bushes. (Nice) the dog park was all the way at the end of the park fenced and large but dirt, and the dog waste in a garbage cans hadn't been picked up probably two weeks, the smell was bad. But that was my only complaint. The place was quiet, no road noise but we did have an airport right next-door so we did hear the planes but not as much as I thought. The location is ideal for sightseeing of Universal Studios or any of the studios and Beverly Hills. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We camped at Hollywood RV Park(formerly Balboa RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for 6 days, our site backed up to the beach, park. There was a fence that separated us from the beach but the view was great. If I stay again we will pull in forward for the view. The spaces are wide plenty of space for our slides (4) and still had plenty of room out side. Each space was very clean. One of the nicest parks we have stayed in. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yanks RV Resort, Greenfield, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, except for the wind, but they have no control over the wind. Their dog park large with thing for the dog to do grass, with a dog wash station. Pool is heated nice hot tub. They have a fire place just out side the pool area nice place to sit at night. The RV pads are large long with a patio and barbecue. The park has lots of grass plants and trees. No dust.

There are wineries around the park to visit, Carmel and Monteray are just 30 mins away. Great place for a stay. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan, Santa Barbara, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $125.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was at 2 pm. We arrived and were given site 884 which is a back in. The site was hard to get into with my 40 motor home. There was a cement pad to park on, and relatively flat, there was a picnic table and fire pit but we couldn't use the fire pit because it was too close to the motor home. Lots of dirt, so sites are dusty. Nice pool and hot tub but here again more kid in the pool than space same as hot tub. Should have adult pool time in the afternoon. The hot tub said for adults only but this wasn't enforced. This park has tent camping and spaces just for tent camping which is down the road from the RV park. But right in the brochure it says no tents in the RV park area, but here again this was not enforced as we walked around the RV park we saw tents right next to RV. All in all I think $125 for this park is a little steep. I was looking forward to a very upscale park for that price and that was not the case. We camped at Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

State beaches right down the street but no dogs on the beach Santa Barbara is about 20 miles away Goleta was about 10 miles away Solvang is only 30 minutes away.

The walk to the beach is down hill steep, which means walking back was very steep.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at the park and checked in, we were given site 419 which is a deluxe site, had a gas barbecue and a wood fire pit. And picnic table. Large, concrete site with plenty of room. Grass all around, so no dust at all. We were very close to hwy 101 but road nose was very low.

This park was just remodeled: has bocce ball court a swimming pool and playgrounds for kids. They're adding another pool and won't be in until next summer. Everyone that worked here was very helpful. Large roads coming in and out.

The only problem we had was the pool was overcrowded with lots of kids. Kids were also in the hot tubs. They needed to have an adult time in the pool. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We arrived on a Thursday, by Saturday the park was full. Great park. The only negatives: I think they could use a dog park. Where we were, had to walk all the way across the park. The pool was full of kids: could have had Adult hour. We camped at Wine Country RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Marina Dunes RV Park, Marina, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We. looked at their web page and couldn't find a check-in time. We arrived at the park at 12:15 pm and were told we couldn't check in til 1 PM and would have to leave the park and park on the street. My RV and tow is 67 ft so this wasn't a easy task, but we did it. We were told our space were still occupied but as we left the park to park on the street we passed our spaces and they were both empty. Poor service at that point.

We finally checked in and this is one of the more expensive parks that we been too. Are spots were very spacious and easy to get into. They have a small patio with the table, barbecue and fire pit. We walked around the park, they do not have a dog park, and do not provide poop bags, no hot tub no swimming pool. But this park is located very close to Monterey and Carmel. The beach is only a couple hundred yards away nice walked out a little pathway dogs are welcome on the beach to the right there can be off leashed and to the left that must be on leash. The park is clean and well-kept but for the price I don't think it's worth it. We camped at Marina Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Entrance was very hard to get into, my tow vehicle's rear tires scraped the curb and there was no way around it. The entrance is not large enough for a large RV in tow vehicle to enter without scraping the rear tires and they told me they knew this and they're going to fix it down the road.
