Cabot Hi-Way RV Trailer Park, Charleston, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park on a small lake. We stayed here to tour the Bonavista peninsula. A storm was coming with high winds, so the owner placed us between two other large trailers to shelter us, thank goodness. Otherwise you could park on the lake area. We camped at Cabot Hi-Way RV Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you spend some time in Trinity - a treasure. We had a flat tire touring the Bonavista peninsula - roads pretty rough, so watch it. We must have picked up a sharp stone - totally destroyed the tire. Lucky we weren't towing at the time.

Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park, Doyles, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park, the best we found in all of Newfoundland. Located in scenic Codroy Valley - the sites are very spacious and well laid out, easy to back into. Very friendly, helpful hosts. Excellent WIFI. We came back for 5 nights at the end of our trip here to enjoy this park. Excellent drinkable water (not always the case in Newfoundland) We camped at Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elm River RV Park, Glenholme, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We love this park - friendly helpful hosts, spotless washrooms and laundry, close to Truro and Masstown market for shopping, spacious grassy level sites, we stay here whenever we pass through Nova Scotia.

Sewers are located in the middle of the site, which is great for a 5th wheel. We camped at Elm River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Celtic Rendezvous by the Sea, Tors Cove, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to tour the Avalon peninsula. Right on an open cliff on the ocean - spectacular scenery, but don't come here in a storm, very windy. Friendly hosts. Basically a parking lot, sites not very level. Large rigs might have a problem with getting into a spot, not much room to manouver if other rigs parked. We camped at Celtic Rendezvous by the Sea in a Fifth Wheel.

The number 10 road coming here has many steep hills - up and down, and the number 13 road from the TransCanada highway was very very bumpy.

Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA, Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull through site, but the sewer connection was on the back edge of the site - and it was about a foot high...so needless to say, hard to drain once we connected our longest sewer hose we had with us. Basically a parking lot, no scenery and absolutely no grass, not even much for tenters. Not a lot of room between you and neighbours. However, friendly helpful hosts and Gros Morne is a must to visit. We camped at Gros Morne / Norris Point KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a mountain you have to go over before getting to the camp, watch for construction - at the bottom of the mountain around the corner a bridge was out and we had to go around - my brakes were pretty fried by the time we came down that mountain in the rain...
