Sleepy Hollow Farm CG, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a hidden gem! Very close to the EAA museum (a must!), shopping and highways. We were here over Labor Day weekend and almost had the place to ourselves. Sites are in the grass, but fairly level. Two camping areas but full hookups were in the trees. Don't plan to be there the last week in July! But do plan to enjoy watching vintage aircraft fly over every day. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Farm CG in a Motorhome.

Definitely plan to visit EAA Museum. The maritime museum in Manitowac was also worth the drive.

Marquette Tourist Park, Marquette, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

As said, this sits on the edge of the city in the woods. Some of the sites are better suited for trailers than our motorhome, but we managed to make it work so we didn't have to move after the weekend. The staff were great in trying to help us within a full campground situation. We suggested more questions when folks called for reservations so hookups would be more appropriate. That's the only reason for the lower rating. We camped at Marquette Tourist Park in a Motorhome.

Waterways Campground, Cheboygan, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park under new ownership, but it's lovely and quiet and well cared for. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It's on the edge of the river, but enough air circulation I guess to not be too buggy. Close enough to town and only 30 minutes to Mackinaw City and the bridge to the UP. We camped at Waterways Campground in a Motorhome.

Whispering Pines RV Resort and Campground, Mancelona, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Found this park from previous reviews and made an excellent choice. The staff were great. The 4th of July celebration included a picnic with the meat provided by the park and we met some great people (of course). The setting is wonderful. We'll be back when next in these parts! We camped at Whispering Pines RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazy Palms Ranch, Edinburg, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

The park has an area of mobile homes for those who return each winter as well as 30 and 50 amp pull-through spaces. RVs are not packed in (although they could be) and the facilities are kept in good condition. The people are the key here - marvelous, welcoming folks. It's 20 miles from "town", but that makes it quiet. Lots of activities if you want to participate. We camped at Lazy Palms Ranch in a Motorhome.

Use Floral Road as your GPS guide! The mini-mart on Hwy. 281 is very good.

Mountain View RV Ranch, Amado, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park is still tired, but the staff are friendly. However, the year-round residence are not. The pool was locked off the whole time we were there despite warm days. Almost no one cleans up after their dogs - they have the work campers doing this every so often. But the view is good, the location is close to the highway between Tucson and Nogales, and there was a place to walk next to the park. They did sell beer & wine and a few groceries. We camped at Mountain View RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drop outgoing mail at a post office rather than at the park to be sure it gets where you intend. Check the valves on your propane if you have it filled to be sure things are closed. Watch where you step.

Boot Hill RV Resort, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

First, the price is based upon a weekly rate. Second, it's the desert so trees and grass are scarce everywhere. But the sites and facilities and personnel were excellent. Even entertainment some Saturday nights! We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mobile City RV Park, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

While the park is under new management (not ownership) which was friendly and helpful, it was more of a mobile home park, the pet rules were not enforced, and grass & trees were missing. But it was handy to shopping and sightseeing. We camped at Mobile City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Washington Land Yacht Harbor, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This park is totally gravel with no trees except along one side to block the park from the neighborhood. On the other side is a modular home neighborhood. Sterile is the word that comes to mind. It was adequate and the price was good, but I would pay a little more someplace else next time. We camped at Washington Land Yacht Harbor in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The park was built for trailer traffic and we had to purchase an extension for the sewer hookup because everything is at the back of each site.

Alpine Country Store & RV Park, Hayden, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We didn't use the showers or restrooms and the sewer hookup for our motorhome was too far away. But the dump station worked out just fine for our 2-night stay. The park is in a lovely setting and the sites were level gravel and good trees for shade. My rating would be higher had the WiFi worked as advertised. It was non-existent throughout our stay, but my Verizon Jetpack worked well. We camped at Alpine Country Store & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground, Ronan, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We actually stayed a week, so our rate was lower. There was plenty of room for our rig in a pull through on grass. The site was level, but the staff made the trip. The view was spectacular and even though we were close to the highway to Glacier, the trees surrounding the park kept the noise at bay. Even got a load of laundry done at no cost! We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is small, but has a very good on-site restaurant. Getting in and out was easy. The only negative is that the sites are very close on the utilities side. We camped at Wheels West RV Park in a Motorhome.
