Very pleasant check in...lots of full timers there..close to road...heard trains..but i dont mind that.NO WIFI...cable didn't work either...we really just wanted to be here for a night to catch up on Internet and watch some tv...NEITHER could be done. I wouldn't stay again..for a couple dollars more there are other options...picnic table was a wreck..need to replace..site was level though. We camped at Mobile City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Coulee RV Park, Grand Coulee, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Although not a glamorous park, the owner makes up for it. He is most accommodating and pleasant to deal with. He has given us lots of suggestions of where to go, shop and interesting sites to see that are "not in the books". Although we only planned to stay a couple of nights, we extended our stay as we found plenty to do and the heat (95-111) was extreme and our ac was very necessary. Great wifi, cable and cell service here. Laundry available- only one washing machine, but good size. Dryers were hot and everything dried with one cycle $1.50 for each. You surly get the feeling of being in "Electric City" here as it is surrounded by towers. Coulee Dam is very close and we enjoyed the free tour and nightly laser show. Very nice family operation and the owner had lots of stories to share. No shade in this park- we were in upper level and very much dessert. We kept our shades down because of the heat and the views are laced with power towers. Owner keeps things tidy and keeps an eye on things. He sprays (organic) twice a week for mosquitos, too. No bug problems here. Our site was very level. Also no fire pits- a plus so you don't get others smoke and with the dryness here...don't have to worry about fires! We had a motorcycle with side car for daily trips- lots of mountains, curves and drop offs. We camped at Grand Coulee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Near Coulee Dam- Nice grounds for picnics. A must to go to the lazar show- free nightly @ 10pm when we were there, but time does change through out year. Free dam tour was fun too. Amazing scenery..Great produce nearby at Shaws. Everyone we met in town were very pleasant and helpful.

Park is close to town and although I prefer to cook our meals, there are several restaurants nearby. Bought groceries at The Harvest up near the dam and prices were very good. Shaws Produce (about six miles from dam) has a great selection of produce and they are generous with samples.

Eastcreek Campground, Mineral, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Although a bit out of town, a beautiful spot. Absolutely no cell service or Wi-Fi in park, but when you get out to main road you will pick it up quickly. Never been to a park (especially paying $35) that you will be charged an additional $10 to dump!! We choose not to dump as we had only stayed two nights and it would be a couple more days before we would be hooked up at a park again. Owner are very pleasant and informed us that our dogs were over the size (max 40 lbs). (We have an airedale and labradoodle and they were an "allowed breed" but we would be allowed since the park was very empty mid week.) Nice spot on the creek except it's too bad they dumped slash over the bank to fall into the river- an eyesore and not the best way to get rid of slash. First night was very quiet and peaceful, second day a family of seven camped next to us and kids were all over the place...and up until 10 playing...love kids...but wanted to go to sleep. A very well planned park with lots of trees between sites. Since as many trees as possible have been left, it's very shady there. Perfect for our dogs who had to stay in RV when we went to Mt. Rainier. It's for sale. We camped at Eastcreek Campground in a Motorhome.

Salt Creek RV Park & Golf, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We were so thrilled to have found this park. Although a bit out of town (15-20 min), it turned out to be a perfect location for us to cruise around the area from. There are several full timers which you see when you first enter the park which I was skeptical about when we arrived, but when we pulled around to the pull through lots, it is perfect. RV park hosts great. They are so welcoming and friendly. We are pulling a trailer behind our motorhome and we were assisted with his truck to park it next to us. While we were there, we went to Victoria Island on the ferry for three days and felt very comfortable with leaving everything behind. Although we thought we would only stay a few days, we stayed ten days. Beautiful golf course here too and only $10 to play all day. Very accommodating for all our needs. Laundry room only has one washer and one dryer and is a bit dated, but only $1.00 per load and things came out clean. Our lot had a fire pit and picnic table too...and Wi-Fi is included. The weekly rate breaks down to $20 per day. Lots of tents sites available, too. This is a gem and not to be confused with the recreation park across the street. We looked there...too many people packed in. We camped at Salt Creek RV Park & Golf in a Motorhome.
