Emerald Cove Resort, Earp, California
Date of Stay:
May, 2016
Overall Rating:
We received a promotional packet in the mail to get 3 days, 2 nights free and to sit through a 90 minute presentation about becoming members at this park. The spaces were extremely tight with no privacy. we had no picnic table in our area, and the sewer line was so far away from the electrical and water we had to move our coach further up into the road in order to get it to work. Plus, when we were checked in, they didn't give us one with cable. The dog run area - was a joke. No dog over 10 pounds could consider that area as a run. There was no grass, it was rocks and cement. The beach area was so over-crowded, we couldn't find a spot for the 3 of us to sit and enjoy the water. This park is not meant for anyone without some sort of watercraft to use in the Colorado River near by. We ended up leaving within 5 hours after we arrived. Not impressed with this "resort". We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Motorhome.
Don't use this RV campground unless you have watercraft and a lot of kids.

Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA, Williams, Arizona
Date of Stay:
May, 2016 -
$43.00
Overall Rating:
We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Other than the loud noise from the trains at all hours of the day and night (through Williams), it was peaceful. We had a lot of squirrels around and the blue jays were beautiful to watch. The park itself was quiet and all the workers around were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the dog parks - and so did my dogs! We camped at Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA in a Motorhome.
Williams is really close by along with Bearizona! We took Mom there and she loved it.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) , Las Vegas, Nevada
Date of Stay:
June, 2015 -
$26.00
Overall Rating:
Stayed 2 nights and had a nice time. Close to the pool and hot tub, but we didn't use - too warm outside for the hot tub and too crowed at the pool. The facility was very clean, but we couldn't get close enough to our sewer connection to use that. Seemed like a lot of people had that same problem. Saw a lot of RV's not hooked up to the sewer line. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.
Right next door to Sam's Town Casino - spent a lot of time there. Was nice to be able to pick up the free bus to the Strip (also goes to Fremont area).

Restrooms very clean and well maintained. Laundry facilities very roomy and clean. Issues with other campers (remote control cars and drones) but the front office handle very well. Friendly people around us. Had planned to stay 3 nights, only stayed 2. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Motorhome.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah
Date of Stay:
June, 2015 -
$47.00
Overall Rating:
The people running this place were not friendly at all. There was a teenage kid in the office most of the time and not helpful at all. The laundry facility was in with the game room and not many machines. Plus one of the machines had a vague sign above it staying that it took longer to do the wash in that one. When I inquired about it - the women running the place was rude and told me that they used that one to wash the cleaning towels and that was why it ran longer. Shouldn't they have a separate machine for that and not a "common use" one? Plus, we asked for a site with a fire pit or grill, ours was the only one in the entire park that didn't have one. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Motorhome.

Salmon River RV Park, Salmon, Idaho
Date of Stay:
June, 2015 -
$25.00
Overall Rating:
Do not use this park if you don't have to! Their website is so false and misleading it is unreal. The cafe was closed down for the season, even though it indicated that it should have been open. The so-called 'Hot Springs' they advertise about is a FIVE MILE WALK and it isn't even a place you can use - as per the words of the owner of this park "I believe that it is privately owned now so you might have to check with the people that own it". We were also told that the dogs could go in the grass, but yet they allowed vehicles to park on the grass. Not impressed at all!! We camped at Salmon River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Meadow RV Park and Cabins, Hungry Horse, Montana
Date of Stay:
June, 2015 -
$30.00
Overall Rating:
This was the BEST place we stayed at on our 3 week vacation. The beauty of this location is indescribable!!! Sitting at the pond area they show on their website was so peaceful, my husband and I could have sat their all night. The showers/bathroom facilities were the cleanest I have ever seen. The shower is hot and very soothing. We loved the open meadow that was just down the hill from our site - our dogs loved it too. We camped at Mountain Meadow RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.
Minutes to the West Glacier Park entrance - which we visited often. Also very close to Kalispell and Whitefish. We went to the Farmer's Market in Whitefish while we were there and enjoyed not only that but the scenery around that beautiful town.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming
Date of Stay:
June, 2015 -
$68.00
Overall Rating:
Very disappointed with this park. The customer service was awful, the area they have set up for a "dog run" is ridiculous and the price we paid was not worth the money. I was really looking forward to staying at this park after seeing the pictures before we left on our trip, and those pictures are deceiving. I would not recommend this RV park at all. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Walking around Jackson was easy from this spot - but the area was under construction while we were here and that made for a lot of traffic around the town.
