Anchorage Ship Creek RV Park, Anchorage, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We can't expect much of the park located at downtown Anchorage. So most important thing is all hookup run well and clean shower and toilet. The bathroom are lock with pass code and have male and female bathroom. The site are really tight. This park is located next to train station. The train run not too frequently but it is really loud. The office provide free hot coffee and tea. Location are 10 minutes from downtown. We camped at Anchorage Ship Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bayside RV Park, Valdez, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stay two nights in this park. The site are quite close to each other, but it is still convenient since all the park staff maintain regulation and make sure no customer breaking any rules. We choose the site that facing the bay for 10 dollar more but it is worthy. The staff are very professional we got help during set up, they make sure the full hookup work as well as the cable channel. They have a very nice fire pit. Shower, toilet and laundry rooms are also nice and well maintained. Valdez is such a beautiful town. We did the Prince William cruise to Colombia glacier and it is very nice. The glacier are big and wild life are plenty. We saw about 6 whales during the trip. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tolsona Wilderness Campground , Glennallen, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park is spacious and all sites facing the creek. It is situated in a forest area with a lot of trees. The owner is friendly and more than willing to give us trip advice. The office also sells many truly antique items.

The unbearable thing is the mosquitoes..there are hundreds surrounding you once you step outside the RV. The bathroom are pretty standard. Shower cost 25 cents for 5 minutes. We did not use the toilet and shower because they are full with mosquitos. It should be a really nice place if not because of its mosquitos. We camped at Tolsona Wilderness Campground in a Motorhome.

Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned), Denali National Park, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight side. We request for the site far from the main road. Almost 100% occupancy when we stay. Always got held up on road work when going and out from Denali National Park. About 10 minutes from town. Did not use the bathroom and shower. Shower cost 3 dollars for 5 minutes. It is a rather expensive stay. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

Thai and Chinese restaurant is highly recommended. Place is small so it is more convenient to take away. But its really good and prices are okay.

Big Bear Campground & RV Park, Palmer, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The site are tight, but well kept. I they have the best bathroom and shower. They separate male and female bathroom and shower and lock with a pass code. They even provide hair dryers. Although the sites are very close to each other but they maintain the quietness quite well. Children play ground is available. We camped at Big Bear Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Homer/Baycrest KOA (formerly Baycrest RV Park), Homer, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One reviewer said that this is the most beautiful camp site and that is True. The sites are facing Kachemak bay on the cliff side. So you have really an open view of the entire bay. You can see boats passing by and we even see the air blow from a whale. Bathroom and shower are clean, laundry machines available. Shower are 2 dollars for approx 20 minutes includes soap and shampoo. You have to buy the token for shower. Unfortunately, if you have extra token they will not return your money. The gift store is nice. The leveling is not that good. It took us almost 30 minutes to get the 'half bubble in' (leveling). Careful with the location map from google map. The actual site is about 10 minutes away towards Homer from what being point by google map. Have informed the owner to make revised. We camped at Homer/Baycrest KOA (formerly Baycrest RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Portage Valley Cabins & RV Park, Girdwood, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice mountain view as the site is located in a valley. Hot shower available with no extra cost. Have 2 shower booths simple but clean. We did not use the toilet because it is a temporary booth type, not a flush toilet. Small size with only 40 sites. Nice owner. Wifi work quite good. We camped at Portage Valley Cabins & RV Park in a Motorhome.
