Camp James Campground, Kernville, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

On the recommendation of friends, we made our first stay here. We especially liked the over-sized sites & even though the sites are dirt, the entire campground is kept very clean. Each site is raked once it is vacated. For those of us who enjoy having enforced rules, it was extremely pleasant to know what to expect. If you don't like rules, go elsewhere & put up with loud music & rude parents & pet owners. Being right near the river we enjoyed the sounds & sights of the rafters & kayaks going by. We will definitely stay again. We camped at Camp James Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ventura Beach RV Resort, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $120.00
Overall Rating:

We made the mistake of camping on the 4th of July weekend. It was a big catastrophe, rules were not enforced, people parked wherever they liked, rules state 6 people per site, I saw at least 30 on one site. We had reserved 3 sites together 5 months ago and paid extra for specific sites. When we arrived they had given one site to someone else. Their attitude was "too bad we'll put you somewhere else". There were parties going on until around 2 AM, told their security people, but never saw them come around. Its very apparent the owners are only concerned about making lots of money on a holiday weekend. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Its pricey but more than worth it. Well kept lawns and trees everywhere, the showers and bathrooms were clean. We had 4 rvs in our group and were all together, reservation process was real easy. The staff were real helpful with the bus tours and anything we asked about. We will go back again. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Yellowstone bus tours will pick you up in front of the office, the town of West Yellowstone is great and a couple of blocks from the campground. There is lots of places to ride bikes to also.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

If you like to camp in a forest type setting this is the place for you. We were in the Ranch camp and it was like being in a forest service campground but with all the hook ups. There were 4 rvs in our group and we were all next to each other. Making reservations was so easy for 4 rvs. Their is a bike trail in front of the campground that goes for many miles in both directions. Will definitely stay again. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park, Mammoth Lakes, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

As stated in other reviews they have all kinds of rules, but no one enforces them. People parked their toads in the road way, making it hard to get into our site. Our loop was almost full with RVs and cars parked all over the place. When we left, we had to weave around all the vehicles. The loop next to us was almost empty. If you like to camp in a expensive circus atmosphere this is the place for you. Will not camp here again. We camped at Mammoth Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
