I struggled where to give my rating. Based on a few things I have given a 6 due to 1. they put us on 1X (don't take this site!), it is right beside the entrance and office and the busiest place in the park; there were I'm sure other sites they could've given, we were right beside the park host (really not sure why, this is an rv park with an office), their site should be 1x! 2. they have an entrance gate with a wooden bar that swings up, it is only activated by a staff member who sits in a cart a 100 yards ahead by the office; so if he's gone potty? you don't get in!! stupid system. And $62 per night is way too much for this park. The roads inside are easy to drive if you get a site further in. Hookups were good but no cable on this site, a staff member had to split off from a site behind us. All sites are gravel and fairly wide.

We ended up at this park with friends of ours who had access as military. Roads are quite narrow, the site we had was hard to get our 41' 5th wheel in, and the craziest thing was the sewer connection was under the middle of the trailer!! as well I could not back in as the water and electrical was on the wrong side!! Grass was very long, looks like it hadn't been cut yet this year. Not impressed.

Good value at $45.00. Lots of room to het our 41' 5th wheel in and out. Staff friendly. They have a small store, a food truck open at certain times, a small lake which we were camped on. The road in the park is a little bumpy with potholes, just take your time. We would stay here again if in the area. The road leading off the highway is about 2 miles and very narrow. I would've given higher marks if the interior roads were better.

Ok so this park is worth its value as it stands alone; the sites are decently spread apart, they do separate the "full timers" (migrant workers) from the transients, its a big park and was very empty while we were here on May 12 weekend. We were in site 611, which we had chosen on the map ahead of time. What we didn't know was this site and the others on the point had NO cable; and as an avid golfer the Players Championship was on and couldn't watch! They did offer i could move, but once you're all hooked up you really don't want to move again. Water connections are a bit odd, you have to lift off a cast grille which was flush with the ground to get at a recessed connection, bit odd and could be a hazard if not careful. The main problem of this park is its location; the address says Virginia Beach BUT you are at least a half hour south (actually close to the NC border) AND the road to get here is about 25 miles of VERY NARROW/no shoulder to peak of roads!! I am a very experienced driver with my 1 ton truck and 41' 5th wheel; but this was the most stressful stretch I have ever driven in over 50,000 miles of pulling this combo! If you're squeamish about narrow roads? Don't come down this stretch to this park. Having said all this I wont penalize the park in my review of the road. One other thing, they advertise waffle breakfast at the clubhouse; we went there on the first morning and were told they weren't doing it that day because the cook wasn't feeling well.

One of the better RV parks we've been to on our North American trip. Wide paved roads, paved pads, we chose the closest spot to the ocean on the front row, well worth a couple extra dollars. This park is secured and gated. Friendly staff, as long as you're friendly! I say this as another guy who came into the office right after me; he was grumpy right from the get go; he had the gall to ask for double discount (Good Sam and AAA). C'mon buddy!! Nobody gets double discounts. Don't be a grump!! When I see people complain on rvparkreviews I wonder really what they were expecting. I believe I give honest reviews as anyone looking on this website should get. Anyways, this is a good park for the money!! Only reason I didn't give a 10 is that its not "pristine".

This was our first go around on this very long trip with KOA, and I was reminded why the value is simply not there; we paid extra to be close to the water, we ended up in the second row (obstructed view). When we arrived there had been a torrential downpour that morning before we arrived, and wouldn't you know it? our site was the lowest in the park. I asked the staff if we could move to another site (we scoped out a few that were dry); we were told the one site in particular was booked. Guess what? it was still empty till noon of next day!! The roads are not gravel but a white powdery kind of mulch; even the next day there was dust coming off the road even at 5 MPH! Any park charging $80/night (before discount) really should have paved roads, never mind paved pads! The other thing was my 25' sewer hose barely made the hookup at the same time trying to get my steps land on the patio concrete (not thought out very well) I would not come back here for $80/night.

Very nice state park, sites are a little close though hence my 8 rating. Most have sewer which is a plus. Excellent checkin service, very friendly staff. The beach is a 7 minute walk from most sites, lots of stores close by. Location location location here.

One of the best State parks in North America! Lots of space between pads. Get the pull throughs with sewer if you can, they are HUGE! Nicely paved roads, each site is very clean. WE had no problem getting our 41' 5th wheel in and out. Bathrooms are a little dated, only reason I didn't give it a ten.

I didn't give a 10 only because the roads and sites are gravel and are not pristine. BUT nice and close to I-95 and no traffic noise. Very easy to get in and out for my 41' 5th wheel. Only 10 minutes to historic St Augustine, so much to see here and great restaurants. Staff very friendly. Only about 20 full timers and they're on the outside of the park. This is also a great place for a stopover but we stayed here for 5 nights. Also a wonderful OPC Church (Covenant OPC) 5 minutes down the main road To St Augustine.

I would've given this park a 10 if it weren't for a number of sites which were gravel and not kept very clean as the others in the park. We were on lot 181 which is in the more modern (newer) part called The Palms, they call them super sites; based on the length and width (both large) they certainly are! we had a nice view of the lake (pond) , we were told we might see some alligators! Very nice facilities, especially great deal with our Passport America discount!! And NO park models! Nice pool area, as well as shuffleboard, tennis and pickleball courts, lots to offer here. Very close to Cape Canaveral which is a must see if in this area. Highly recommend this park.

This park is good for a one night stay over, especially as we used our passport America for $24.50. A very clean park, but sites are very tight, took me a couple turns to back in my 40' 5th wheel. We used the pool, one of the best we've seen. Wifi was also one of the best as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Get your Passport America discount card for this park! Its not worth $90 per night! it is worth $45 and no more. I understand were in the Keys, and location is important.... The park is old, not too many full timers (no park models) but sites are tight; good thing the park was fairly empty. This was the tightest spot on our long trip to get into; I had 12" to spare on one side to the other electrical post!

One of the nicest parks in the States! Don't follow your Garmin RV GPS :) Very professional run park, admitting staff very pleasant, we were guided to our site, nice touch. The park is very clean, very very wide sites, it was a breeze to get my 41 foot backed in with lots of room. Wifi is very good, we stayed on site 822. Would highly recommend this park to anyone for short or longer stays. We were also only 10 minutes from the beach.

We use rvparkreviews.com for every park we book. This one I should've realized that there was only one prior review; i'm guessing it was from a relative. This NOT a 10 park, at best my overall rating is 6 at best. This is a mixed park, a number of old mobile homes and full time rv's. The driveways are very tight as well as the spots. I'm not looking forward to pulling out in the morning as there are two trees flanking the exit (which you can only go one way) and branches will be scraping my 2 year old full body paint. Not happy! As in most parks, the wifi is intermittent. We didn't use the bathrooms but the building looks old. I've included a picture of the office; you don't see too many parks with an office like this. If you really can find anything else in this area go somewhere else. What bothered me the most was that there were larger sites which were empty which would've made it easier to get my 40' 5th wheel in easier, but they gave me a site which was quite small (on the same stretch of road and at the same cost)

This park doesn't live up to its advertising. The pictures show the back section, which has lots of full timers (no park models) we ended up in the front which is less desirable, also close to the highway. The park looks like someone had 10 acres and turned the back of their house into an office. We stayed here 2 night, if you're staying one its ok as an overnight stop. The wifi though was one of the best in the country; that's one complaint of so many parks, the poor wifi. The site they gave us we were told was a back in; there was absolutely no way my 40' 5th wheel could make the turn to get in; I ended up backing in with still a very tight turn (on my blind side)
