Pyramid Lake Marina and RV Park, Sutcliffe, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Upon arriving, the signs leading to the ranger station and the RV park itself were VERY faded and broken, mostly made of wood and you really have to keep your eyes open. And try not to drive down the wrong road. We finally arrived at the ranger station and checked in. Now, the price for the RV park is $25.00 per day, full hook-ups. OR $15.00 no hook-ups and you're on the beach. Or $400.00 a month which is an awesome deal. We stayed a week. We parked very far from the restrooms because I wanted to view the lake every morning, but the restrooms were clean and the water was hot. We didn't encounter any problems while at Pyramid Lake.

There are lifetime RVers that live at the park and one gentleman in particularly wanted us to stay! Oh goodness we wanted to! But, sadly our full-time city employment calls and we have to answer. We camped at Pyramid Lake Marina and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you want to go fishing, you MUST obtain a permit which is $10-$15 dollars per day. And the tribe is very strict on how many fish you can catch. They have a special booklet at the ranger station of the do's and don'ts. Also, if you want to shoot fireworks, you need a permit for that as well. AND there's designated areas where you can shoot them.

Thousand Trails Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Since we are Thousand Trails members, we stay at this park continuously. (Two weeks in, one week out). There are at times where the bathrooms smell awful, like raw sewage, the washers/dryers are out of order and the bathrooms are out of order. Their Wi-Fi is not very good unless you are parked close by the clubhouse. But, overall it's ok for the membership price and the $3.00 per night stay. We stayed at the Thousand Trails in a travel trailer. We camped at Thousand Trails Nevada in a Travel Trailer.

Riviera RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

When we first came to this RV Park, I thought it was very creepy. But, after staying at this park a few times, it grows on you. They do have long-term residents that stay at the park. The management staff is always nice whenever we come in contact with her. Also, their WiFi is unbelievably fast!!! Waaay better than the internet I used to have in my home. So, that's a plus there. This RV Park is not for everyone so don't expect expect the "red carpet treatment". We camped at Riviera RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground, Henderson, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Since we live in Nevada, we've visited Lake Mead on numerous occasions. Even though Lake Mead is very, very dry, there's still a beautiful view of the lake...Take pictures! RV park, is about $180 a week. YIKES!

The RV parking spaces are kind of close together with hook-ups. If you want to have a get together or BBQ, there's a picnic area by the ranger station with ample shaded spots with grills!! Since the ranger station is within walking distance, on occasion, you may have a park ranger come by your area and chat with you. There's a small hiking trail as well in the area. WATCH FOR SIGNAGE! You also can take a walk/drive/ride your bike to the lake or take a swim. There are bathrooms down by the lake so you can change into your swimming attire. Be sure to shower after your swim! We camped at the Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground. We camped at Lake Mead NRA - Las Vegas Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This place is awesome!!! You have to pay $20/day and the park has envelopes for you to place your money in to pay. "Self-pay". Not many people are honest, and may not pay at all. We did of course. It's very peaceful at night, when you wake up in the morning, the views are beautiful!! We only stayed for one day, but it was well worth it! There's a dump site as well as you are leaving the park. Returning for sure! We camped at Valley of Fire State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Mead Recreational Area - Willow Beach, Lake Mead Recreational Area, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This part of Lake Mead was unknown to me at first because I was unaware that Lake Mead extended to Arizona. This little gem is right on the lake, very beautiful when the sun rises. It was VERY hot as well.

We only stayed for one night but it was great. The bathrooms are near by. If you have a boat, there's a boat landing as well. It was very dark and quiet at night, but the parking lot is well lit. Also, if you don't like bugs, bring bug spray and some Off. We didn't explore all that much, but it was fun. We camped at Lake Mead Recreational Area - Willow Beach in a Travel Trailer.

Main Street Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

I've stayed at this RV park on several occasions because of the price. They do ask for a $100 deposit (which you do receive back but I believe that it's pointless). It's just concrete no grass no trees and you are right across the street from the 515 Freeway which is Very noisy. Even though we are full-time RVers, we are still employed. The good thing about being at this RV park is the ease of Fremont Street, downtown access. We stayed at the Main Street RV park. We camped at Main Street Casino in a Travel Trailer.

Main Street Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

A few good points about the Main Street RV Park was the washing machines, showers and Fremont street. When I made my reservation, I was quoted at $14.00/a night. But, when I arrived and parked in a larger space, checked in at the hotel, (REMINDER!! You MUST park first, THEN go to the hotel to check in), they failed to mention that you pay $3 extra dollars for a larger space. The spaces that are against the wall are $14 and the spaces that are in the middle are $17. I was in space 194 which was a larger space so just beware. The one bad thing is that the expressway is at arms length, and it gets VERY NOISY at night. So, if you enjoy expressway noise and car watching, then Main Street RV is for you. We camped at Main Street Casino in a Travel Trailer.
