Clearwater Campground, Ortonville, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This used to be one of our favorite places to stay but all that changed this year. They need to keep up with maintenance. The shower / restrooms were filthy. I walked in and walked right back out. Trees need trimming. Staff is very friendly, pond is nice and a small petting zoo but no amenities. The park just isn't worth the money. They won't take credit cards either. Won't be back until they make some changes. We camped at Clearwater Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Shore Resort, Davison, Michigan

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

I was a member of Coast to Coast and this was my home park so I have been here several times giving it a fair chance and this is my summary. If you want a campground that you can let your kids run wild while you party, then this is your place. That's seems to be what people do here. Parents work all week and wanna unwind and have someone else worry about what the kids are into. So many kids, so little supervision. They have no problem walking or riding their bike through your lot. I have even found one boy on top of my 5th wheel. When I couldn't convince him to come down I asked his mother to help but she just said "he'll come down when he's ready" and poured herself another drink. Perhaps the most disturbing is the groups of teenage boys I see wandering around late at night. One of the few places I've had to lock up everything. Also camp has no restrictions on dog breads. lots of pit bulls, Rottweilers,Dobermans. This place has very little class, you either like it that way or you don't. We camped at Lake Shore Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clear Creek RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Overall Rating:

Delightful little campground. People very friendly and helpful. The lots and roads are a little tight for larger rigs but I thought it was worth the effort. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Valle del Oro (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

If you like living in New York City where it's over crowed and over priced you'll love it here. Very, Very crowded. You stand in line for everything. They do have many activities but the ones we wanted to participate in all had a waiting list from two to six weeks. Also expensive here, the base price isn't bad but they charge extra for all kinds of things that you don't find out about till you're there. They charge extra for Electricity, trash, sewer and a maintenance guy told me they are installing water meters, so soon you'll be paying extra for that too, and they don't take credit cards, you're writing checks for all these extras. If you wanna avoid the wait in and out of the busy front gate you can use the rear entrance, all you have to do is purchase a remote for $35. WI-FI is a joke, No Cable TV, but they do have a very obnoxious odor from the near-by dairy farm. This place is very busy and very loud, The roads are like city streets, lots of fast moving cars, walk and ride your bike at your own risk. Won't stay here again, too stressful for my taste. We camped at Valle del Oro (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Far Horizons RV Resort(formerly Far Horizons Tucson Village) (55+park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

People were very friendly, the place was kept clean for the most part. Lots of activities and close to shopping and restaurants. Nice walking and bike paths. WiFi ok, Cable TV also good. Now the reason for the 3 rating, while its true they will Squeeze your big rig in, it's not nearly big enough. I paid extra for a Premium site and was very disappointed. Sites are way too small. You have to park your vehicle next to your RV and you have to be very carful that the door doesn't hit the RV next to you. Pool is small, fills up quickly and only 3 showers total for the whole park. Very small workout room, a few machines and some dumbbells. If there are 4 people in the fitness center its too crowded. Also, the place is loud. Low flying jets, was ok at first but soon got old. The Fire department is very close and they are busy. All in all not a bad park but I won't be back, it's just not worth the money. We camped at Far Horizons RV Resort(formerly Far Horizons Tucson Village) (55+park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Leelanau RV Park, Lake Leelanau, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Have been to many RV parks and this one is as good as any and better than most. Friendly / helpful staff, very clean, large sites, good WI FI, lots of cable TV channels. Extended our stay another week, we didn't want to leave. Lots to do in the area. We have already made reservations for next season. We camped at Lake Leelanau RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Grove Campground / Resort, Holland, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Lots to do in the area. There are a lot of kids even though there is little for them to do there except ride their bikes and skate boards on the streets. The sites are big and the concrete pad is nice. Don't care for their policy of charging for pets, it adds to the already expensive rate. The park is very clean and very friendly. WI FI isn't to bad, depending on the time of day. I would probably stay there again but only for a short time, too expensive to stay for too long. We camped at Oak Grove Campground / Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Top O' The Caves, South Bloomingville, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I've been to a lot of campgrounds and this one is among the ones that I will not return to. The sites are way too small. I asked at the desk where I can park my vehicle since it won't fit on my lot. I was told anyplace you can, but you'll have to move it if it's in the way. So I ended up moving my vehicle several times. When I asked about this the response from the man in the office was something like "we only provide a place for your trailer, your vehicle is not our problem". While the employees driving around the park were friendly, , the people behind the counter in the office we're extremely rude. . The sites are also very close together and not many are full hookup. The showers and rest rooms are filthy and unusable. The grounds themselves are very nice this place has a lot of potential but they aren't putting any money back into the facility and it shows. The campground is very tired and in desperate need of some serious updating. Oh, and they'll tell you that WiFi is available, but no one seems to be able to get it. We stayed there in a 5th wheel. We camped at Top O' The Caves in a Fifth Wheel.
