Majestic Oak Resort (formerly Rustic Cove Resort), Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We paid the monthly rate so that is why I have only $1 for the nightly rate. One of the nicer, if not the nicest, parks in the Rockport area, especially after Hurricane Harvey. Pull-through & back-in spots - we had a back-in long enough for our 35 ft 5th wheel and truck. Site was concrete and level. No problems w/ 50 amp service, water pressure OK, sewer site was too high - asked workers in the park about cutting it down a couple of inches but nothing was ever done. Bathrooms/showers kept very clean. Laundromat also kept clean with nice modern washer/dryer units. They were in the process of getting the new swimming pool ready for use during our stay. Only 2 dumpsters in the front of the park (no garbage pickup at our site) made for a long walk. One of the few parks we've stayed where you're allowed to wash your rig & vehicle. Some highway noise but overall the park was quiet. They need to update their website with their new rates - everything is now about $100 over their posted prices on the website and the electric deposit is now $150 instead of their website price of $100. We promptly received our refund for unused electric service within 4 - 5 days after checkout. Would stay at this park again. We camped at Majestic Oak Resort (formerly Rustic Cove Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Crossing RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Very well-kept park w/ attentive owners. Staff met us upon check-in and drove us to our site in her golf cart w/ instructions for parking. Hummingbirds and butterflies everywhere in the park. Beautiful landscaping. Library has cable TV to watch and also books & DVD's that you can take to your RV. Small clean laundry available ($2/load). Sites are level, good water pressure from well system. Able to walk dogs on grass w/o concerns about getting burrs in their feet. Paid the weekly rate which I believe was $150 + electric. We camped at Deer Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed at site #7 - seemed fairly level. Nice facilities with full hookups and nice shaded picnic table. As others have said, keep your dogs on the road - grass burs are abundant. Beautiful view of the lake. We camped at Copperas Creek COE in a Motorhome.
